The Caravan

"I knew I'd like this little hotel as soon as I saw the receptionist come running out into the street to help with my luggage. And I did. Small but perfectly formed as they say, The Caravan is a perfectly located bijou, central, near lots of shops, cafés etc but just 10 mins walk from the sea, spotlessly clean, friendly and funky, well priced and charming in every way. Arriving late, I was even directed to a great little place called Kyr Giorgis serving excellent local food with a big smile. I loved everything about The Caravan bar one small hic - not the hotel's fault, but there was loud motorbike noise most nights around 3 - 4 am, and noisy footsteps on stairs around 5 am, so sleep was interrupted. Possibly both the bikes and the boots belonged to local bar staff working late or early shifts, but didn't need to be so noisy. If The Caravan could just find some way of fixing this, it would be 5-star perfect."

"We have been here before and because of the fantastic experience back then, we wanted to return here when in Thessaloniki. Now we booked this B&B again and in our experience the staff takes care of you on the high standard of hospitality, welcoming and friendlyness. The help we got when we needed an appointment at a doctor was done without hesitation by the staff member. This time we had the room on the top floor with the huge balcony / deck with views over city and Ottoman Hammam. Breakfast is served with more than enough choise. We highly recommend this beautiful B&B with its great staff who truely understand the quintessential Greek word φιλοχenía."

"A wonderfully comfortable, friendly and helpful gem centrally located in Thessaloniki. From the moment I arrived I was scooped up in the welcoming atmosphere with no question too much trouble. My room was modern, very well serviced and, despite its central location, very quiet. Breakfast is everything you need with delicious local honey, feta and yoghurt plus much more (including eggs to order). Such a brilliant choice and the perfect oasis after hot days exploring."
