"We recently stayed for 4 nights. It was a nice hotel, great location. They were very kind, and always willing to assist. It’s family owned. The owner comes out to greet everyone. They are happy to help with arranging car services, and will put it on your tab. They cleaned our room everyday. We had a nice room. The bathroom was a little dark. The balcony area was large and a great addition to the space. The hotel is very open and outdoorsy, that being said there were ants in our room. It would be nice to have better pest control and luggage racks to keep the luggage off the floor. We booked through a credit card so they were surprised to see 3 people arrive even but they rolled with it. They give a tour upon arrival. Breakfast was good, lots of variety. You cannot drink the faucet water in the room. They give you a bottle of water per person per day but you’ll need more"

"Stayed at Kalisti Suites for 4 nights and couldn’t not have been happier. Welcoming, helpful staff and clean comfortable rooms made our stay very enjoyable. The location in Fira is the perfect spot if you are not wanting to pay the high prices for a sea view. Instead you have the sweet spot for catching local buses around the island and to the airport just around the corner (easy walk) and a 10 minute walk into the centre of town. Lovely swimming pools to cool off in after all your exploring."

"stayed at Kalisti Hotel with high hopes given its central location in Fira, but unfortunately, the experience fell short in several key areas. To start, the room had some basic issues — the shower head was not working properly, and the walls were so thin that we could hear footsteps and conversations from the hallway, making restful sleep difficult. At check-in, we were told we could get complimentary water bottles from the bar, but when we went to the bar, they said water was actually charged. This bait-and-switch was frustrating. The room came with only four small bottles of water, which wasn’t sufficient, though thankfully there’s a supermarket conveniently located across the street. Breakfast is included and offers a variety, including in-room ordering. However, when we had breakfast delivered to one guest in the room and the rest of us ate downstairs, staff questioned us as if we were trying to game the system. The accusatory tone was off-putting and uncalled for. Another disappointment was the concierge service. We asked for recommendations on where to go jet skiing with our kids, and the front desk sent us to a beach without informing us that a boating license is required in Greece to operate jet skis. This oversight led to major disappointment and wasted time for our family. While the hotel is family-owned, the service didn’t feel especially warm or personal. The one major upside is the location — it’s excellent, right in the heart of town, walkable to great restaurants, shops, and nightlife. Overall, despite the great location and decent breakfast, I would not recommend Kalisti Hotel due to poor service, misleading information, and an unwelcoming atmosphere."
