Spread across a hill that slopes towards turquoise waters, Kyparissia is a charming seaside town in Greece’s Peloponnese. It's just a short wander to Ai Lagoudis Beach, where palapas and sun loungers are set out across golden sands. A few kilometres up the coast is the longer and quieter but equally sandy Kartelas Beach, lapped by clear water.
On the slopes above the old town are the remains of an ancient Byzantine castle, the Castle of Kyparissia, also known as the Castle of Arcadia.
