"We went here with our 4 year old and 2 year old.
Upon arrival we were greeted by a lovely porter who took us to our room on a buggy. He helped with luggage and pram, very friendly guy and really made us feel welcome
.
The room was spacious, extremely clean and modern. We had a family room with a swim up pool. The swim up pool was 10/10. It was a private pool, with trees surrounding so no body could see in. (Please note this is the only private pool- the other swim up pool rooms had open pools which people could see into, not an issue at all, but different to ours) Beanbags on the ledge of the pool, a table and chairs and umbrella - everything you need for a day by the pool without having to leave your room!!
I would definitely recommend upgrading to one of these rooms if you have smaller children. It meant we didn’t have to lug everything around searching for a sun bed with a pram and bags.
My only small note is the sliding doors opening up to the pool do not have a proper lock which could be a bit worrying for some parents. (Only to lift the handle up and down to lock and open) So children can open these quite easily.and wander out into the pool if you weren’t looking! Would perhaps benefit with a higher lock for adults?
The splash park for children is fantastic. ***BUT I wanted to take my 2 year old down the slide (the yellow straight slide) and was told off by the life guard. Therefore he couldn’t go down any as he was too young / nervous to go independently at first. The slides are big enough for a parent to go down…. And when done sensibly I can’t see an issue with a parent taking a child on their lap down. The slides are actually quite high and it’s not possible to reach up and help them down with a hand … so we didn’t manage to use it. My 4 year old was also going down the slides and about 4 children came down after him and landed on top of him. Perhaps the life guard should monitor the amount of children going down at the same time instead.
The room itself had a kettle, a coffee machine with pods and Basic tea and coffee items.
The toilet was also clean, it had a shower only but that was spacious and big enough to shower the children with ease. It had great shampoo and shower gel options if you forgot yours.
*****It has a hair dryer, which unfortunately kept over heating and cutting out. If you have thick hair I’d recommend bringing your own because it can take a while!!!****
Air conditioning worked great and easy to use
Like other abroad hotels the dinner time started at 6:30 which I find quite late when you have little children. You found most families with babies and toddlers were queuing up at 6:30 waiting to go in. Apart from, the food was always lovely. Sometimes, repetitive. But always a great choice each night. Sushi bar was fantastic.
The pool bar snack bar was open from 11 and ran until 5 which was great to help the kiddies get through the day. They served ice cream constantly through this time. Fresh desserts, salads. Gyros, beef burgers and hot dogs. As well as a different fish each day. And the beach bar was open with fresh baguettes and sandwiches which were delicious!! It was always so quiet down there too.
There was 2 à la carte meals, we didn’t get to try either because we left it until 4 days into booking and they were fully booked - totally our own fault. But if you do want to try these I’d advise booking as early as you can.
The hotel has a football pitch which is great for the kids to run around. A nice play area covered by roof, and some toy houses which my 2 year old loved.
Drinks were great but I didn’t like the pre made cocktails. If you pay for “all inclusive plus” I expected cocktails a bit fresher and not out of a carton. They were not enjoyable!. But the Prosecco and other spirits were fantastic.
Everyone was friendly! Every waitress was kind and loved our children. They all played games and made my boys smile. The cleaners were great and did a fantastic job. We told her she didn’t need to clean every day,but she left fresh towels and changed the bins whenever we saw her and asked.
The location is fantastic. I’d definitely recommend getting the coach from the security guards office by the beach into KOS town. This is a 25 minute bus journey. It cost only €5 for us all each way. The coach is clean and Modern and the staff are very helpful!!!
We also took a 15 minute walk into Marmari itself. It’s very small but the beach is beautiful and has a lovely swing for photos.
I feel it will be hard to beat this holiday. We really enjoyed it. There’s always little things to pick at, but this place really is fantastic."
