Athinoula Hotel

"A fantastic stay at Athinoula Hotel (our second time on the island) - everything was covered from breakfast choices to basic room requirements. We were surprised to find a fridge and kettle in our room as well as built in hairdryer. The location is idea and a short walk from a range of restaurants and supermarkets, as well as car rentals and endless beaches. We highly recommend renting a car during your stay to get a real feel for the island - the beaches of Kefalos are out of this world and Kos Town / Kardimena are also recommended, as is Zia Village (great location for sunsets - also check out ‘Greek Night’ online where you can book a table at an incredible exclusive venue and enjoy traditional food, music, theatre etc (we paid 35£ pp and it was well worth it). Also recommend is the 3 island boat tour from Kos Town (company called Melena) - it’s a full day out at sea with lunch included, opportunity to swim and explore nearby islands AND dolphin spotting if you’re very lucky! Lastly definitely check out Therma Beach where you will find natural hot bathing springs (50 degrees) Our room was basic but it was very clean, helped by the staff who do an incredible job. A good sized pool was a real hit to cool off between sunbathing. Snacks and drinks available throughout the day too! The staff were friendly and we loved seeing the cats out and about, oh and Meg the hotel security dog. Food very affordable in the area and a lot of choice within 20 min walk, many overlooking the sea! You won’t be disappointed! We can’t wait to return to Kos! "Fabulous as always. Just had the best 9 nights in kefalos staying at Athinoula hotel. Rooms spotless and cleaned daily. Kefalos is justnso lovely and has everything you need . Completely chilled and relaxed."

"This is a very nice Hotel, we stayed here recently for ten days the rooms are a bit small but they are spotlessly clean, beds very comfortable and changed nearly every day as were the towels. Breckfast was plentiful with fresh bread cereals juice and lovely hot water for tea or coffee. Close to the beach and lovely restaurants, the pool was lovely and plenty of nice quality sunbeds."
