Kefalonia holidays

A quiet rural village

Sarlata holidays are simple, relaxed and fuss-free. This tiny village isn’t crammed with restaurants, bars or shops, and that’s why so many people love it. The joy is in relaxing on your balcony, hopping in the car to explore the nearby beaches or wandering to a neighbouring village for your evening meal. It’s handily located minutes from Kefalonia airport, on the southwest of the island, so on holidays to Sarlata you’re able to get straight to the important task of relaxing and unwinding.

And if you’re keen to explore there’s plenty to see nearby, whether you want to tuck into freshly caught seafood in the tavernas of Argostoli, which is a 15-minute drive away, or tour the beaches that Kefalonia is so famous for. There are a number of beautiful stretches of sand just minutes from Sarlata, or you can make a day of it and head north to the gorgeous Myrtos beach.

Your Sarlata questions, answered

For guaranteed good weather the summer months of July and August are your best bet. However, in spring and autumn it’s still warm enough to sunbathe and swim.
You’re so close to the airport here that your travel times will be minimal, but a car would help you visit the nearby beaches and restaurants more easily.
Couples or small groups of friends looking for a quiet holiday will be happy in Sarlata. Plane spotters will also love the close proximity to the airport.
