Traditional Kefalonian hotel with castle views
You’ll find the Ionis Hotel in Peratata – a pretty town at the foot of the Venetian Agios Georgios Castle. While you’re there, dip into the local tavernas, shops and restaurants, and take in the gorgeous scenery – the area is surrounded by tree covered hills. Plus, there’s a hilltop castle and monastery to visit. There are several sandy beaches within a 10-minute drive, too.
At the hotel itself, the action revolves around the pool. It’s a decent-sized rectangular number edged by loungers and parasols, as well as a smaller space to splash for kids. You’ll find a poolside bar right by the water, which serves drinks and snacks throughout the day. Plus, you can start your day in the breakfast room.
