F Zeen

"We initially had problems finding the parking, but with a quick phone call someone from reception kindly come to find us and point us in the right direction. Check in was quick and views across to the sea from reception had us excited about our stay. The room itself didn’t have the wow factor we have had from other hotel at a similar price point but it was clean and tidy and the bed was exceptionally comfortable, with that stunning view through the doors. The outside area was lovely with a good sized plunge pool. We had every breakfast at Gaia restaurant, where a warm welcome was always waiting especially from Yeti and Elena. There was great selection of food fresh from the kitchen or from the buffet. We also had food here at lunch and in the evening on a few occasions and again great service from the bar (sorry didn’t catch his name) and Maria. We were quite surprised that complimentary water is not offered with the meals. We also had lunch at the beach bar (a lovely place to sit and chill) and was surprised this was served with bamboo plates and cutlery- not the easiest to use. I used the pool near the restaurant a couple of times which is a nice size, but due to a lack of shade despite the parasols didn’t tend to linger. Overall a very relaxing stay."

"A lovely relaxing spot in a town we had visited before. The hotel is excellent, very clean, stunning location, excellent service without being over the top. We rarely go back to hotels but will definitely revisit F Zeen"

"F Zeen is idyllically situated on a hillside filled with lovely gardens and a beautiful grove of evergreen trees. Our room was extremely comfortable (great bedding!), and we particularly enjoyed the beach, with its abundance of sun beds. But for whatever reason, we never felt quite at home at the hotel, and it never came together for us as a five-star experience. There were little things that set us off, like the endless amount of time it initially took us to find the hotel entrance, or simple questions put to the front desk staff that seemed to cause confusion. More than anything, though, there was an overall lack of warmth. F Zeen is extraordinarily photogenic - the perfect setting for a magazine shoot - but the experience of actually staying there was less compelling. The atmosphere could feel oddly chilly and impersonal, and there was a sense that no one was really in charge of the operation. We've traveled enough to know that some hotels, for reasons that are difficult to define, immediately make you feel welcome and at home; others leave you feeling indifferent. F Zeen was clearly created with great care, and its beauty is undeniable. But somehow that care never quite translated into warmth, and by the end of our stay we were quite ready to go home."
