Lagoon View Apartments - Adults Only

"Why has it taken us 8 years to return to these apartments? I feel we have missed out on some excellent stays. Very quiet, great if that's what you like, but situated perfectly for exploring the whole island, if you have a car. I do recommend hiring a car, you will miss out on a lot of beautiful sites, if you don't. Ten minute drive down to Argostoli front, recommend parking near to bus station or on car park behind 'MyMarket', then walking in along the front. Not much more then an hour drive to Fiskardo, at one end, about 50 minutes to Skala at the other. Fantastic views from the rooms, mountains or down to the lagoon. Rooms are large, clean, and well equipped. full kitchen, washing machine, iron and board etc. Even a parasol to put in the car, in case you fancy a bit of time in one of the many coves whilst driving around. Pool area is well appointed with beds and shade. Enough poolside beds for all rooms. It is quite possible that you will be the only ones at the pool. Panos is a font of knowledge about the island, quieter beaches, places to eat, etc. He will sort a car if you need one, though I would recommend prebooking, as in high season there is very little availability. We didn't eat at the apartments this time, as we were out exploring the island most of the day, and eating at various tavernas as we drove around. I probably had the best two weeks sleep that I've had in years. Nice large bed, with really comfy mattress. Plenty of room to store your clothes. Charges for aircon and safe. Hopefully, we be back in a couple of years, to see the island in the spring, rather than the heat of summer, when we hope to sample, Mary's cooking. Thank you Panos and Mary. Wonderful hosts. "After arriving late we were pleasantly greeted by the owner, Panos, and made to feel very welcome straight away. We woke up in the morning to beautiful views from the veranda looking across to the mountains and Argostoli harbour and lagoon, such stunning, panoramic views day and night. Panos and Mary go the extra mile to ensure you have a memorable stay, without being intrusive. We found the apartment immaculate, bed linen and towel changes were regular. The location is peaceful and relaxing, with a large pool and very comfortable sunbeds. We had hired a car so spent most days visiting many different places on the gorgeous island and it was always a pleasure to come back and relax quietly at the pool afterwards. The location was perfect for us as we found it very central to explore the island. The bed was very comfortable and the gorgeous sunrises and sunsets are already missed! We loved relaxing on the veranda with the glorious views. The apartment had a washing machine and air conditioning which were ideal to use during our stay in August. Additional costs apply for air conditioning and tourist tax but this is clearly stated and is fair and similar to any other Greek accommodation so we expected this. We are already planning a return visit to Panos and Mary’s accommodation and look forward to seeing them next year. Thank you Panos and Mary. Sharon & Karl"

"This was our second stay at Lagoon View Apartments, and I honestly can’t imagine staying anywhere else when we visit Kefalonia. Mary and Panos are the perfect hosts. Panos is always happy to share local knowledge, recommending beautiful beaches, villages and places to visit that helped us make the most of our holiday. Mary is a wonderful cook, and if you get the chance to enjoy one of her homemade meals, don’t miss it – they’re absolutely delicious. The apartments are spotless, comfortable and very well equipped, with a full kitchen and a washing machine, making them ideal for longer stays or anyone who enjoys the flexibility of self-catering. The apartments are set on a peaceful hillside, so I would definitely recommend having a car or motorbike. For us, that’s part of the appeal. The location offers breathtaking views, complete tranquillity and some of the clearest, star-filled night skies we’ve ever seen. It’s the perfect place to relax, recharge and slow down after a day exploring the island. With only a handful of apartments, it never feels crowded. There are always sunbeds available around the pool, and it’s easy to get to know other guests if you want to. We’ve met some lovely people here, which makes the atmosphere even more special. It’s also ideally located for exploring Kefalonia. The airport is only a short drive away, and Argostoli is easily reached for restaurants, shopping and the ferry across to Lixouri. Lagoon View is much more than just somewhere to stay – it feels like a home away from home. Thank you again, Mary and Panos, for another wonderful holiday."
