Metamorfosi Holidays
A serene haven in Sithonia
In Greek, ‘Metamorfosi’ means ‘transformation’ – and there’s a good chance you’ll return from your Metamorfosi holidays transformed by its sun-drenched tranquility. Situated on the northwestern coast of Sithonia in Greece, and with a permanent population of around 500 people, this is a quiet place for total relaxation. The town sits right on the beach and is surrounded by a dense cluster of pine forests.
The area is unique for its microclimate and it’s said that the air here is particularly clean and good for people with respiratory problems. You can spend all day lounging on the beach – this is a great place to work through your reading list – and then enjoy low-key evenings in family-run taverns and cafés, where you can sample local produce and eat plenty of fresh fish. There’s not a lot of nightlife going on, which makes holidays to Metamorfosi perfectly peaceful.
