Thalassa Boutique Hotel

"Beautiful hotel!! The building itself is just gorgeous & our room was also gorgeous. We would have preferred it closer to the town, as we had to get a taxi in & out. Unfortunately, their breakfast was terrible!! There was only 3 hot options plus bullet / cold fried eggs. Cauliflower was an option 1 of the mornings 🤢 There was never an option of brown bread for toasting. We mostly could only eat yoghurt & fruit. Even the choc au pain were stale. All jars of perserves, choc spread & peanut butter were all just left in their jars with spoons stickibg out of them, no attention to detail at all. After the 3rd morning we just couldn't face it & went to a local cafe for smoothies. One of the days we looked for a smoothie at about midday, there was 2 staff just hanging around but we were told no, there was no food available until 2pm. There is nothing available between 10.30 & 2pm. This is a perfect opportunity to introduce some snacks, like any other hotel. The menu that started at 2pm was all dinner options. From reviews the dinner menu is very popular at night & the restaurant was busy at night, at this point, we realised the morning chef was definitely different to the night chef! The pool is so small, it's more like a big jacuzzi, swimming is not an option. The beach wasn't good either, very stoney, dirty with rubbish, that the hotel obviously doesn't check for on a daily basis & only had 6 sun loungers of which 1 was broken. The cleanliness was perfect, kept very well by the accommodation staff. Bed & pillows were very comfy. Plenty of towels are available. It's a beautiful hotel but wouldn't stay there again."

"Beautiful hotel, in great location, don't be fooled when arriving at the rear of the hotel, behind the doors is an Oasis of Calm and tranquility, the staff were all very welcoming, we stayed in a side view room with Balcony, it was very spacious with a fabulous view , the bed was comfortable and it had everything we needed, good sized fridge, mugs, cups, wine glasses, plates and cutlery, as we arrived late a cold plate of meat , cheese and salad was wrapped and left in the fridge for us along with a bottle of water which was very welcome. The breakfast was plentiful and served on the gorgeous terrace overlooking the sea and Fortress in the old town. It is a 20 minute stroll to the old town , but around 200 metres away there is free electric bus running every 15 mins, which was great, I cannot wait to return next year"

"We arrived here a this beautiful hotel. Unfortunately we had an issue with our room which was the fault of TUI not the hotel. The hotel arranged for an upgrade and even put a bottle of wine in the room. The staff are excellent and very friendly. The location is perfect. It is a 5 minute taxi into the harbour which has an abundance of beautiful restaurant bars and shops. This hotel is directly on the beach with its own private area. My only gripe was the beds are a little uncomfortable and only two umbrellas but credit to the staff they gave us our own umbrella. The pool is too small to use and there are only 3 deckchairs to sit on so if you want to relax around a pool this may not be for you? All in all a Beautiful hotel. Excellent seafood restaurant and attentive staff. We will just never use TUI again to book a holiday."
