Harmony Rethymno Beach

"Our stay at the Harmony Rethymno Beach Hotel in Crete unfortunately left us very disappointed. Upon our arrival, we discovered a ground-floor room with two single beds instead of the requested double bed, a view of a building under demolition, and immediate proximity to service doors and truck deliveries. The noise was particularly unpleasant. We really felt like we were being punished! The exterior areas located outside the hotel were also poorly maintained, which did not help the overall impression. We asked to change rooms, but we had to wait until the afternoon of the day after next to get other accommodations. Two days of inconveniences that unfortunately spoiled the beginning of our stay. Fortunately, the dining was satisfactory and certain aspects of the stay were decent. However, the room and its location largely tarnished our experience. We expected more from this establishment and hope that these remarks will be taken into account in order to improve the comfort and hospitality for future guests."

"The hotel is very good and very clean. The staff is wonderful, both in the dining room and in room service. Small downside... it's a shame that the receptionists at the front desk do not speak French, and there is a lack of information regarding evening activities at the hotel. The food is good; there is something for everyone."

"We arrived just before 11pm and unfortunately were allocated a family room, although it did have a private pool. We were travelling with our 18 year old son and his girlfriend who, understandably, didn't fancy spending 10 days sharing with the parents. However, this was resolved the next day and we were given 2 double rooms. The hotel is fine, we found the food to be really good for an all inclusive, and it was great talking to Stavros and finding out how some of the dishes were made. Every single member of staff was friendly. Special mention for Evelina and Marios on reception, and chef Stavros. The sea was great, so much so that my husband and I didn't actually go in the pool at all. The only thing I didn't really like was the reduced drink menu during the day, I like to have a gin and tonic by the pool but you can only have gin, vodka etc after 6pm. We did feel that the evenings were too quiet, but there is a lovely tavern just a few minutes walk away where we spent most of our evenings. The restaurant next door is also very good and have live music on Tuesday evenings. Also would recommend a night out in Rethymno"
