"When we arrived at 215 nobody was there then we went to our room and opened the door there was no electricity on we put key in the light bit nothing this was pitch black in here nobody about to help we had to go to bed to morning till I saw a cleaner she was good reported to reception she came down and said we will get it sorted they didnt over a tea or coffee they got someone in the family to look at it we had to wait over a hr to it got fixed nobody came to apologise its not good enough it should have been checked before we arrived i didnt like the staff not very welcoming we will not go back there again"

"Stayed here for 6 nights with two girlfriends. Location was great, only a 5 minute walk into Platanes which has its own bars and restaurants, and a 10 minute taxi into Rethymno. Facilities are basic which is normal for Greece, however the beds were extremely uncomfortable, very hard and really need upgrading. We were also given a ‘welcome pack’ with the room consisting of water, milk, juice, some dried bread and sugar. This came at a €8.50 charge or we would have to return it. I think a complimentary bottle of water in the fridge would be more appropriate. The worst part of our stay was unfortunately the staff. They all came across quite rude. We were made to feel like an annoyance when we arrived at 2am due to a long transfer, and then man on the desk merely pointed to our room and told us to be quiet. No help with bags. When we asked for some wine glasses for our room to enjoy some local wine we had brought, we were told very aggressively that we would not be given these and had to use the small tumblers in our room. When we checked out there was no question or discussion as to how our stay had been. Really not the greek hospitality that we are used to. I would like to say that Carmen, the daytime staff member on the bar was exceptional. She was friendly, helpful and made us feel welcome. However everyone else was frankly quite rude. That paired with the uncomfortable beds and poor room facilities we would not stay here again."
