A glorious spot in the Ropa Valley
Liapades is a village in the northwestern part of Corfu. It is dotted with secluded bays and coves and nestled among lush green hills with countryside and sea views. The village is small and simple, with narrow streets rising gently up the hillsides with traditional stone houses. Take a stroll to find family-run tavernas and cafes where you can taste authentic Greek cuisine and linger there to catch the sunset.
Liapades is close to the village of Paleokastritsa. If you know a thing or two about Greek mythology, you may already know this is where shipwrecked Odysseus washed ashore and met Nausicaa. Spend a day here and explore a 13th-century fortress, then hop on a water taxi for a closer look at the beautiful shoreline.
