"We stayed at MarBella but went to Avali most days, as it was quieter, more modern, really clean and complimentary as part of the use of our hotel. It’s newer and more contemporary in style, offering a relaxing contrast to MarBella’s livelier atmosphere. The sunbeds were excellent! Really comfortable and well-positioned for long stays by the pool. Minas, the Food & Beverage Manager, was a particular highlight. Despite knowing we were staying at MarBella, he always welcomed us as guests at Avali, invited us to events at the hotel, and remembered us and our preferences throughout our stay. Avali is a slightly smaller hotel than others in the collection, and Minas making the effort to speak to everyone each day really added to that boutique hotel feel. He is a huge credit to the whole hotel group. There was also a team member, Mark, who often recognised us and made jokes with us, again adding to the overall boutique feel. We chose to eat at the buffet here, as we felt the options, whilst slightly more limited than MarBella’s, were better executed. Everything was always fresh and tasty, and it didn’t really matter that the choice was smaller, there was always something we fancied. We also ate at Stia which was delicious! The only disappointing thing is that there’s only one à la carte here but you can use Marbella and Nido so there’s still lots of options. The beach itself is pebbly, so beach shoes are worth packing, but as the hotel is right on the beach, it’s easy to get sunbeds with a lovely sea view if that’s what you enjoy."

"★★★★★ An unforgettable 9-night stay at Avali, absolute perfection My boyfriend and I have just returned from a 9-night romantic getaway in Corfu, and I can honestly say that our stay at Avali was everything we could have hoped for and more. From the moment we arrived, we knew we had chosen somewhere very special! Avali itself is absolutely stunning. It is luxurious, beautifully designed and, above all, so peaceful. The hotel is relatively small, which we actually came to love, as it created such a calm, intimate and relaxing atmosphere throughout our entire stay. For a romantic getaway, it was honestly perfect. There was never that feeling of crowds, queues or rushing around that you can sometimes get at larger resorts. It genuinely felt like we could switch off, slow down and completely relax together. But what really made Avali stand out for us was the staff. I have honestly never experienced a team quite so welcoming, attentive and hardworking. Every single member of staff we came across greeted us with a smile and such genuine warmth, and you could tell that they truly cared about making sure every guest had the best possible experience. The cleaning team deserve a huge mention too. Our room was always absolutely immaculate, neat, tidy and spotless every time we returned. It was clear that so much care and attention went into keeping the whole hotel looking tip-top. The bar staff were also fantastic and always made sure we were well looked after. Nothing ever felt like too much trouble, and there was such a lovely personal touch to the service. And then there is Mr Minas. What an absolute gentleman. He was, without a doubt, one of the highlights of our stay. He greeted us with the biggest smile every time he saw us, remembered our names and genuinely took the time to get to know us. He went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, and his warmth and personality really embodied everything that was so wonderful about Avali. You could tell that he takes immense pride in the hotel and his team, and it made such a difference to our experience. We will genuinely remember his kindness long after our holiday. The food was fantastic throughout our stay, with plenty of choice and everything we tried being delicious. We also had four complimentary à la carte dinners included during our stay, which could be enjoyed either at Avali or at one of the sister hotels. It was such a lovely addition to be able to experience some of the other beautiful properties within the group, should you decide to. We also treated ourselves to a morning at the spa, which was the perfect way to start the day. It was so relaxing and fitted perfectly with the overall atmosphere of the hotel, exactly what we wanted from our getaway. Our room was beautiful and had everything we needed. It was slightly on the smaller side, but honestly, this never bothered us in the slightest. Because the hotel itself is so peaceful and there is so much to enjoy outside of the room, we spent very little time there anyway. The room was beautifully maintained and always spotless, so we really couldn’t fault it. One of the things we particularly loved about the smaller size of Avali was the pool area. There was never any mad rush for a sunbed, no getting up at 6am to put towels down, no fighting for a spot. There were always sunbeds available, even later in the day, which made the whole experience feel so much more relaxed. And the sunbeds themselves were incredibly comfortable, with fresh towels already placed and ready for you when you arrived. Even better, you could order food and drinks straight to your sunbed using the simple QR code or through the hotel app. Being able to lie back, order a drink or some lunch without having to move and have it brought straight to you was honestly the cherry on top! Ultimately, Avali is one of those places where the little things add up to make something really special. The beautiful surroundings, incredible food, luxurious setting and peaceful atmosphere are all fantastic, but it is the people who make this hotel what it is. We left feeling genuinely looked after and welcomed, rather than simply like guests who had stayed at a hotel. Every member of staff played a part in making our 9-night stay so memorable, and for that we are incredibly grateful. Thank you to everyone at Avali for making our romantic getaway so special. We came to Corfu looking for somewhere beautiful and relaxing where we could properly switch off and enjoy some time together, and Avali exceeded every expectation we had. We would return in a heartbeat. 5 stars doesn’t quite feel enough, an absolutely outstanding hotel, an incredible team and a holiday we will remember for a very long time🤍"
