Agios Gordios Holidays

A delightful beachside village

Nestled beneath vibrant green mountains covered in olive groves and cypress trees you’ll find the little village of Agios Gordios, where a warm, sandy beach curves lazily around the perimeter of the village for 1.5 kilometres. There’s plenty of room for everyone on Agios Gordios holidays: at the centre of the beach you’ll find families playing under umbrellas, move on to a different, reserved area of the beach and you’ll find people lying in the sun ‘au naturel’.

Holidays to Agios Gordios also provide a selection of water sports to keep you entertained and active during the day. When it’s lunchtime, tuck into some grilled octopus or seafood linguini from one of the many beachside tavernas. For days out exploring, there’s string of traditional villages nearby, including Kato Garouna, Pentati and Sinarades just a few kilometres from Agios Gordios – each offers a unique take on Corfiot life, and are excellent places to visit for a wander.

Head to the northern end of the beach, called Aerostato. You’ll have a fantastic view of the coastline to watch the sun sink behind the horizon.
Agios Gordios used to be farmland, and many restaurants and taverns still use local ingredients. Be sure to sample the fresh fish and seafood in some of the classic Corfiot dishes.
If you want to explore other parts of the island, while avoiding likely issues with parking, consider doing so by bus. The routes are picturesque and the station is easily accessible from all holiday accommodation.
