IntercityHotel Hamburg-Altona

"The reception was friendly. The request for 2 beds was fulfilled, the mattresses were back-friendly, the down duvet was already luxurious for a hotel. Windows are soundproof. Bathroom ok, hot water came immediately. Minibar-sized refrigerator very useful. There should be a larger selection of cold cuts at breakfast. At least some boiled ham in addition. We will plan another overnight stop in Altona again if ONE night is bookable. The rule that you can only book 2 nights on certain weekends is short-sighted. We would have liked to book an overnight stay with breakfast for 6 people as a stopover at the beginning and end of the Whitsun holidays in Baden-Württemberg. But... A failed attempt, that didn't work out."

"I have been a guest at the hotel for years. During that time, the service has continuously decreased, while the overnight costs have increased. The breakfast is also becoming increasingly meager; there is no longer any fresh fruit salad (an offering that has meanwhile become standard in every hotel), and ham or salmon have also been cut."

"The premises were top-notch as always – clean, well-maintained, and very pleasant. The staff was also attentive, friendly, and helpful. Unfortunately, the vending machine was broken during my stay. There was no possibility to get drinks in the hotel, and not even a small selection was offered at the reception. I would have wished for better preparation or an alternative solution here. Overall, however, a pleasant stay, with room for improvement regarding the beverage supply."
