Boutique Hotel Chateau Royal

"We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. It is well decorated and has a luxurious but intimate feel. Our room, a ‘large room’ was spacious and comfortable- we very much enjoyed our downtime in there. The air conditioning was only adequate, and the controls took some getting used to but these were our only niggles. We were offered a late 1pm check out, free of charge, which was so helpful to us. Breakfast was fantastic. There was plenty of choice in the buffet- our favourites were the pistachio croissants and the banana bread. There was also a varied menu of hot food and tea/ coffee. We found the staff at breakfast to be just right- observant and attentive, whilst giving you the right amount of space. The bar staff were very friendly and accommodating. They remembered our preferences and engaged in conversation with us, making us feel comfortable and very welcome. The location of the hotel was great. An enjoyable walking distance to the main sights or within very easy reach of public transport. We would recommend this hotel whole heartedly."

"A very good hotel. All staff are friendly and helpful. It is comfortable, clean, and furnished and designed in an interesting and arty way. Everything is high quality. Breakfast offerings are plenty and served with a smile. Bar staff for a late night negroni are welcoming. Our standard room on the fourth floor was spacious, quiet, and a comfortable bed. Will stay again when in Berlin."

"Many thanks to Victor J.H. Tinguely and the team at Château Royal Berlin for the wonderful welcome during my visit two weeks ago. The rooms, luxuriously furnished with high ceilings, are very reminiscent of 1920s Berlin. Every room, every piece in it, is unique. Art comes alive in this building—modern works within a traditional structure come together to create a timeless combination. I couldn’t pass up the chance to try the lunch menu at the Château Royal restaurant. Suffice it to say: I’ve rarely eaten better, not even at my grandmother’s (even the bread and butter were unbelievably good). And when the kitchen manages to conjure up a delicious sorbet from sorrel, it becomes clear: only culinary artistry and the finest quality are served here. The non-alcoholic house beer (a craft beer) was also fantastic—cold and refreshing. The staff was attentive, helpful, polite, and yet always ready for a little joke. Just as you’d expect from a boutique hotel of this caliber. There’s even a music room with freely accessible instruments, records, and a record player. A dream come true for music lovers. A fantastic hotel, with service and food of the very highest caliber."
