"Dear Guest Relations Manager / Hotel Management, I am writing to formally complain about the service and room condition I experienced at your hotel on 4 August 2026. My travelling party arrived at the hotel at approximately 14:00. Upon check-in, the staff were polite and friendly, but we were informed that my room was not yet ready(my friends checked in together with me had already got the room.) We therefore left three pieces of luggage at the reception/luggage area as instructed and went out for a meal. We returned to the hotel at approximately 19:20, collected the room key cards, and proceeded to the luggage room to retrieve our bags. A female staff member (who had visible tattoos and was wearing a flesh-coloured dress) asked me to identify the three pieces of luggages which belonging to me. When I indicated that I intended to return to the room first, she informed me that the hotel does not provide luggage delivery service and that I would have to carry all three suitcases to the room myself. At that moment I was already carrying shopping bags and handbags. I stated that I would first go to the room and then return with my daughters to collect the luggage. I explained that I was tired and unwell after being awake since 04:00 that morning, and that I was travelling with my two daughters (aged 12–13). The staff member replied that if I said “please” to her, she would then consider assisting me. I ultimately carried the luggage myself with the help of my daughters, shocked at the standard of service offered by a Hyatt-branded hotel. After this interaction, I finally entered the assigned room. To my disappointment, the floor was not clean. There was visible garbage on the floor, including used tissues and pieces of plastic film. This was the condition of the room after we had already waited more than five hours for it to become available. I find the overall experience unacceptable for the following reasons: 1 As a guest of a Hyatt-branded property, I reasonably expected a basic standard of assistance with luggage, particularly after a delayed room assignment that forced us to wait more than five hours. 2 The staff member’s response — requiring a tourist who was visibly exhausted, unwell, and accompanied by young children to say “please” before she would even consider offering help — was dismissive and unprofessional. The manner in which it was delivered left me questioning whether the treatment was influenced by discrimination. 3 The room was not properly cleaned before being handed over. Finding used tissues and plastic film on the floor after such a long wait falls well below the standard expected of any Hyatt hotel. Hyatt is a global brand with established service and cleanliness standards. Whether this property is classified as Hyatt Place or Hyatt House, guests still expect basic courtesy, reasonable assistance, and a clean room upon arrival. The combination of delayed check-in, unprofessional staff behaviour, and an unclean room left me and my daughters feeling unsupported and poorly treated at the end of a very long travel day. I request the following: • An internal review of the staff member’s conduct, the hotel’s luggage-handling policy, and the housekeeping standards on the day of our arrival. I would appreciate a response within seven days. Please confirm receipt of this complaint and provide a reference number. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Yours sincerely,

"If I could give them a zero, I would. There were dozens of small bugs crawling on the kitchen and bathroom counter. The couch was ripped. There was loud music playing all night. There were weeds as tall as the cars growing in the parking spots. If this were my first Hyatt, it would be my last. Almost forgot to mention the dozen or so folks standing outside reception will full, open bottles of wine they were drinking from (no glasses) at 6am that appeared to be hotel regulars, blocking the exit. Worst hotel stay ever. Could not pay me to go back."
