Hotel ibis Styles Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport

"Ok, so IBIS is a budget part of Acccor Group, have no problem with that at all and have stayed in few in the UK over the years & knew that before I booked it. Reason for choosing it was location, cost & 12pm as landed CDG at 9am… not reviewing the airport but passport control was a joke - 2/8 manned is ridiculous and took well over an hour and I was about the first quarter of a fully booked flight.. Back to the Hotel.. Check in was fine dead on time, professional I would say rather than smiley hi (which I can live with).. Room was clean, air con was fine, comfy bed.. Breakfast I wasn’t in the mood for but on par with most continental ones I’ve had / seen & just had some coffees. Forgot to say the shower head holder didn’t work but water comes out of it and have two hands so no problem there, read a similar issue on another review before I went.. so what.. I came down about 3pm and asked for a drink from the bar, OK the restaurant was closed but after asking nicely I managed to get a bottle of Bud, when I’d drank it reception was busy so just left. The reason after all in all above I dropped a star is returning about midnight from the Accor Arena, asked if the bar was still open.. No.. is there anywhere near?.. Yes, IBIS next door, so went & a lot more what I would call a “bar” - restaurant, and other options like a coffee place… why not tell me that 3pm???"

"I chose this hotel specifically because it advertised air conditioning. In July, near Paris CDG Airport, this is not a luxury—it's a basic expectation. The hotel's website clearly lists "Air conditioning" as one of its services. Yet my room had no thermostat, no wall controls, no remote control, and no functioning air conditioning whatsoever. The room became uncomfortably warm, making it difficult to sleep. Advertising facilities that guests cannot actually use is unacceptable. If the rooms do not have functioning air conditioning, the hotel should remove this claim immediately instead of misleading guests into booking. This is particularly disappointing from the Accor Group, which markets itself as an international hospitality company. Trust is built on delivering what is advertised. I am French myself, and frankly this kind of complacency towards guests damages the reputation of French hospitality. Visitors deserve honesty, not marketing that bears little resemblance to reality. Until this issue is corrected, I cannot recommend this hotel."
