Le Lampika Hotel

"Place is not clean. Bird caged in breakfast room. Mattresses in hallway next to our door. The pictures of the room do not match what you see in person. The rooms are bright pink. Booked for 2 people and only gave us 1 pillow. Asked for an extra and they told us no, that they were full. Staff wasn't that nice. Only 1 shower towel. The only positive side is how close you are to the catacombs. It was questionable sleeping on that bed, but glad we only spent 1 night there. "

"This little hotel is just what the low budget explorer needs. Before choosing Hotel Floridor I read the reviews and was hesitant to book it due to the horrible feedback it received but decided to take a chance since I loved the location and it was affordable. Let me state the facts for you: Location - Located 30 seconds walk from a metro station. It is about 20 minutes via train from the Eiffel tower and about 40 minutes from the airport with the blue train line. Checkin - This was smooth, even though we paid for our room online were were required to pay a room tax of €9. Elevator - the elevator is small and slow, only one person can use it at a time. Room- we stayed in room 38 with 3 beds it came with cupboards, 32 8nch flat screen tv, table, hangers, clean towels, soap, toilet paper, blow dryer, blankets and hot & cold water. Opening the bedroom door can be challenging, strong hands are neeed. If the lights in the corridor goes off din't panic just press the light switch, this is to save electricity. The walls are somewhat thin so you can hear your neighbours at times but it's not that bad. Our room was cleaned wvery morning amf we were given fresh towels. Outside the hotel are packed with eating places so there are lots of choices. There's also a gricery and pharmacy. This hotel was good enough for us no major complaints here. It is a CHEAP hotel and that's what we wanted, you cannot pay such a small cost and expect a 5 star hotel. So some of the terrible reviews here are uncalled for, if you want a 5 star hotel then pay for one $$. If you travel alot and want to keep cost down then this hotel is for you. "
