Anya Hotel

"I wouldn’t recommend this ‘hotel’ at all. It is very overpriced for what it offers. The best thing (only things?) about this hotel Is it is clean and the staff are pleasant. That’s the only positives I can say. The rooms have no shelves (not even in bathroom), no back of door hooks for coats etc, no hairdryer, no facilities for tea or coffee and no lift either. There is no duvet on the bed- instead there is a blanket! Who’s to say if it is cleaned between guests? I doubt it very much as it is an old fashioned heavy type. However bedsheets are white and immaculately clean though. The shower is literally over the toilet in a small windowless ‘cupboard’. You cannot even turn around in there never mind take a comfortable shower. There is no lift and the stairs are typically French and curved so potentially very dangerous carrying suitcases up and down. Seriously - spend a bit more and go elsewhere. If you are happy with hostel type accommodation then it may suit you though. To call it a hotel is a stretch. The owners should manage their expectations of the business and market it accordingly."

"The room was very cold considering the time of year. I had to sleep in a jacket to maintain warmth as I slept. Main Concierge spoke very little English which made dialogue awkward and hand gesture based - highly surprised given the amount of international travellers he potentially has to communicate with on an annual basis. I had to carry my luggage up 5 flights of stairs with no assistance, unacceptable. Avoid Booking Anya Hotel AT ALL COSTS it will ruin your trip to Paris."

"The location is awesome, very convenient. The hotel is clean and the housekeepers came every day to ensure the beds were made. Towels changed every 3 days (on longer stays) and I felt safe. Comfortable bed as well. Rooms are basic and no frills inside the room in terms of furnishings, but it has everything you need for stays. Especially because it is one of the most affordable places in central paris! The staff are wonderful especially Mustafa & Ndejma - who were a delight and made me feel very welcome!"
