"I really wanted to like this hotel - the lobby bar was lovely and the staff were all friendly. It was in a central location and easy to get to from the metro. Between 5-6, they offer free glasses of their own wine.
Unfortunately, there the positives stop.
The rooms themselves were so dark that you genuinely couldn’t see in the mirror when trying to get ready. There were a series of small, yellow bulbed lamps you could put on but honestly they made no difference. The logical next step would be to get ready in the brightly lit bathroom, right? Wrong. The shower screen is so small that, when using the main shower head, you completely flood the bathroom. There is a second, lower down shower head you can use that seemed to cause less of a flood but that was covered in mould and you’d still get some level of water on the floor. Either way, once anyone had showered you had to put your shoes on before you went back into the bathroom unless you wanted wet feet.
The hair dryer that the website lists specifically as a “good” one was in fact terrible - the same style you get in all hotels so I’m not sure why they felt the need to mention it was different.
The street below was incredibly noisy, leading to us walking up consistently throughout the night - then to make matters worse you couldn’t even have a coffee in the morning because the only mugs you get don’t have handles? Good luck trying to pick a hot drink up without burning your hands.
There’s a full length mirror that moves on a sort of slide system in front of the kettle and then the clothes storage - ours was stuck. Took two of us to move it - one to hold it in the right position and one to push it.
The tv in the room is easy to connect to if you have an android, for some reason struggled with iPhones. Luckily we had one of each.
Last time we travelled to Copenhagen we stayed in the Ascot literally round the corner for roughly the same price and had a much more positive experience."
