"The hotel had somewhat mixed reviews, so my expectations were for an average stay. However, I was very, very pleasantly surprised. The staff — whether at the reception, housekeeping, or breakfast service — were consistently smiling, helpful, and welcoming. Housekeeping was excellent, and everything was spotless throughout the hotel. The room was perfectly fine and well maintained. The breakfast was outstanding and clearly above the level of breakfast buffets I have experienced at five‑star hotels, both in quality and freshness. In addition, the hotel is very well located. And when you also consider the price, this place offers absolutely excellent value for money. This hotel receives my warmest recommendations, and I will definitely return."

"The Richmond Hotel is in a ideal location, under a 10 minutes walk from the Central Railway Station,5 minute walk from Tivoli and 25 minute stroll to Nyhavn. Yes this hotel is a little dated but we found the rooms clean, not the biggest, some noise can be heard from outside, if at the front and from the neighbouring rooms but ideal for a four night stay. All the staff we encountered were helpful and friendly, especially Yurkio, a waitress at breakfast.There was plenty of choice hot and cold at breakfast,could be busy at certain times(no different to anywhere else). There is no evening meals available and the 'bar' is just a couple of high tables at the end of reception, there are plenty of bars/restaurants around the Tivoli/Radhuspladsen areas. Personally I found the Richmond to be a ideal base and would without doubt use it, if/when I return to Copenhagen."
