"AC wasn't working for 3 days out of 4 during our stay. When on the 3rd day we asked for some me kind of solution or compensation in more than 20% that was offered the hotel manager was very hostile. No smile, no courtesy. I was asking for a higher compensation, but he jumped to conclusion and said "if you are looking for a full refund you won't get it". I felt like he's despising me for being dissatisfied having to sleep in summer heat, just below the roof without any windows! I practically had to coach him to find me a solution that was indeed available and in the end he offered me a smaller room with working AC. The 3 stars I added is to compensate for the amazing rest of the stuff who were really nice and accommodating."

"Two nights in old town Suite 26 – the best room in the house as it’s only one of 2 large suites and the only one with a balcony, facing the astronomical clock. 12-foot ceilings, closets and shelves galore with a dining table and 4 chairs and two separate sitting areas, large bathroom with a bidet, face cloths (a rarity in Europe), and heated floor. The king bed is a charming canopy bed with a mattress that’s harder than I like (a matter of personal preference) and pillows that didn’t have quite enough structure and should be replaced. But great lighting, nice coffee and tea station with a bar fridge, separate tea and coffee dishes, a kettle and espresso maker, and a bar sink! The bedroom can be closed off from the living area with sliding doors – great if one party wants to sleep while the other wants to read. Double windows make for quiet nights, despite being in the heart of the old town. But very loud revellers broke through the quiet at 3 AM and 5 AM – not the hotel’s fault. The breakfast was lovely with several hot as well as all the cold items you could wish for. Fresh fruit is provided, as well as three types of fruit juice and very creamy scrambled eggs. Great service - they leave the coffee pot on your table so you can do your own refills. The housekeeping woman - don’t know her name, but light hair with ponytail and bangs – was so pleasant and helpful to us. And the men staffing the reception area – Klim, Ahmed, and Hamdin - answered my many questions before arrival. In our on- site interactions with Hamdin, he was the epitome of a service-oriented professional. He personally took the initiative to compensate us for the 20 minutes we waited for the driver the hotel contracts with, to pick us up at the airport. All in his professional, can-do manner We would stay here again. Recommended."

"We truly enjoyed our lovely room and the lovely included breakfast in the am! There are lovely chandeliers everywhere and beautiful lighted prints. Very friendly staff and hotel is located right at centre of town and so easy to meet up for tours as well walk to cafes! Hotel also booked our cab ride to the airport ( not included but easy to have them Book driver ) and also have complimentary Wine, coffee, snacks in their reception/ lounge area while we waited or came in from our tour. Also, large umbrellas are in lounge area which we used since it drizzled the days we were there. Super helpful!"
