Plaza Prague Hotel

"Room with a view – but disappointing stay. We booked two standard rooms on the first floor. The rooms themselves were clean, but several aspects of the stay were disappointing. There were no tea or coffee making facilities in the rooms. Drinking water was provided in a bottle left open on the table, without a lid, so it was exposed to the environment. Toiletries were extremely basic, with only a combined body/hair liquid over the bath and no other products at all – not even hand soap. We also had to request toilet paper for both rooms. The beds were clean and comfortable; however, the quilts did not fit the beds properly as they were too small in both rooms. Breakfast was mainly continental, with limited options on the hot food side. The gluten-free choice was very basic and could be vastly improved. Some staff were polite, helpful and cheerful, while others appeared quite miserable and uninterested in guests. Our “room with a view” turned out to be a flat roof, on which a dirty pair of boxers remained for the entire duration of our stay. This did not create a pleasant impression. On a positive note, the hotel’s location is excellent for visiting both Prague New Town and Old Town. With improvements to cleanliness, amenities and breakfast quality, this hotel could offer a much better guest experience."

"Not a great hotel. Staff are friendly but.. no toilet paper change, no soap to wash hands, shower is terrible. Television useless soon as you change the volume the tv turns off. Had to ask for toilet paper and soap by day 3 and no apologies. Overall budget hotel but booked with Thomas cook so didn’t realise how bad this place was"
