Michelangelo Grand Hotel

"Very nice hotel, however we booked a transfer through the hotel from the airport. This did not arrive. After phoning the hotel and speaking with Vladimir there was no resolution. We eventually arrived at the hotel after getting a taxi. Vladimir was extremely rude and unhelpful. In the morning we spoke with manager Suzanna who was very apologetic and agreed the hotel would pay our return transfer. We also had a bottle of Prosecco given to us. The room was great, although far too hot. Air conditioning is switched off at this time of year. Breakfast was lovely although the staff were very slow to clean tables. Today, our taxi arrived 25 minutes late. I would absolutely NOT recommend using this hotel transport."

"This hotel is officially 5* but it is in my opinion a good 4* hotel. It is well situated very convenient to exploring Prague old town on foot. Staff were excellent as was the breakfast. We were in a suite over two floors but it really should be advertised as a family room. The furniture is very basic and the bathroom minute compared to a standard room on the hotel. If you are a couple avoid this room and book a cheaper deluxe double they are much better. Although as stated I feel it’s 4* and not 5 it is generally priced around the 4* range, unless you are looking a luxury stay in Prague I would recommend the hotel. Well located good staff and very good breakfast."

"We reserved a superior room. This room had a steep staircase up to a king size bed which meant navigating the unlit stairs at night to use a downstairs bathroom. After 1 night of a 4 night booking, we were given a small unnotable room. I explained I booked a Superior room, and didn’t want a small regular room but wanted a superior room all on one floor. We were ultimately given another small regular room, noisy next to an elevator…not the elegant experience we had hoped for. My husband is 77 and I’m 72. I think they could have done a lot better for us but just didn’t. Breakfast was good and the location was safe and good."
