Golden Well

"The Golden Well is one of those rare hotels that makes a beautiful city even more memorable. Tucked away beneath Prague Castle, it feels like a secret retreat, wonderfully peaceful and intimate, yet just steps from the heart of historic Prague. From the moment I arrived, I was enchanted by the hotel’s character. The historic architecture, elegant interiors, and thoughtful details create an atmosphere of understated luxury without sacrificing warmth or authenticity. There is a wonderful sense of place here, as though you’re experiencing a small piece of Prague’s history rather than simply visiting it. My room was beautiful, exceptionally comfortable, and a welcome sanctuary after long days exploring the city. I particularly appreciated the quiet and the feeling of being tucked away from the crowds while still having so much of Prague within walking distance. The staff deserve special recognition. Every person I encountered was genuinely warm, gracious, and eager to help. The front office went above and beyond, arranging a special tour for me that became a wonderful part of my visit. The waitstaff at the hotel’s excellent restaurant were equally delightful, combining attentive, polished service with a warmth that made dining there a pleasure. Throughout my stay, the hospitality felt personal and effortless, never scripted or overly formal."

"We only stayed one night at the Golden Well but wish we'd spent more time here. The rooms are spacious, individual, beautifully furnished and equipped. The welcome at the hotel is friendly and helpful. Restaurant is outstanding, for breakfast and lunch. We'll definitely return to Prague (a beautiful, if touristy city) and this hotel is where we'll be staying!"

"An Exceptional Stay at the Golden Well Hotel, Prague We had a wonderful stay at the Golden Well Hotel in Prague and cannot thank the team enough for making our visit so memorable. From the moment we arrived, the service was exceptional. The reception team welcomed us warmly, offered us drinks, recommended local restaurants and even took the time to show us around the hotel and its facilities. This thoughtful personal touch immediately made us feel at home. Our room, Room 17, was beautifully presented, exceptionally comfortable and thoughtfully equipped. The bed was wonderfully comfortable, while the iPad provided useful information about the hotel and its facilities. We particularly appreciated the bedtime treat and evening turndown service, as well as the pillow menu and easy-to-control heating, all of which helped ensure a restful night’s sleep. Breakfast was excellent, offering an impressive choice of hot dishes alongside a very good selection of cold items. The breakfast team were attentive, friendly and professional throughout. We also enjoyed the thoughtful touches in the guest lounge, where the restaurant team left treats for guests to enjoy, along with an additional coffee machine. The hotel is ideally located for exploring Prague. Although the immediate surroundings include several government buildings, a pleasant five-minute walk leads to a charming town square with a variety of restaurants and shops. Charles Bridge is another five minutes away and makes for a lovely evening stroll. For guests wishing to visit Prague Castle, the location is particularly convenient, as the hotel sits at the foot of the hill. What truly sets the Golden Well apart, however, is its exceptional attention to detail and the genuine warmth of its staff. Every thoughtful gesture contributed to a relaxing, comfortable and memorable stay. Thank you to the entire Golden Well team for looking after us so well. We thoroughly enjoyed our time with you and are already looking forward to returning. We would happily recommend this wonderful hotel to anyone visiting Prague."
