"Courtyard Prague City subjected our family to predatory billing, room neglect, and extreme misconduct. The hotel itself is outdated. Our assigned room was old, visibly dusty, and felt as though it had not been properly cleaned or occupied in a long time. To make matters worse, both myself and two of my young daughters ended up with bedbug bites which I brought up to staff while they were pulling their billing stunt at checkout. At check-in, the agent inspected all six passports (2 adults, 4 young children), quoted CZK 9,402.42 for two nights including breakfast, and accepted full payment. At checkout, front-desk staff ambushed me, publicly accused me of fraud and "sneaking in 6 people in a room for 4" and threatened to run the credit card on file without my consent. The staff member verbally demanded CZK 33,000. When I refused to pay such a ridiculous figure, she dropped it to CZK 13,000, and after my husband joined, settled on CZK 11,409.21. Trapped with toddlers in the car and facing severe intimidation, we were forced to pay CZK 11,409.21 just to continue the vacations that were just stating. Upon reviewing the invoice, the fraud became obvious: They manually inflated our second-night room rate by ~70% using a custom line item (Room Charge Manual). When confronted with the invoice, management offered a breakfast refund framed as a "goodwill gesture" alongside passive-aggressive comments, gaslighting us as if we "misunderstood" the bill while completely ignoring the explicit manual price overrides on the receipt. Unprofessional, predatory, and completely hostile to families. We will never stay at a Marriott property again."

"Staff need retraining on customer service. Had to wait an hour to order a drink and only because I asked. 3 staff totally ignored me. Shame I’ve got another 3 nights here. Reception staff not much better."
