Amigo City Centre Hotel

"I stayed at the hotel. The receptionist took advantage of the fact that I didn't understand the language and charged me 150 euros in cash. She said it would be refunded to the card, but I didn't get the money back. I went to the hotel and I didn't get any help, no service, and they just took my deposit."

"Upon arriving we could not check in a bit early (2hrs) as we were up so early and had large bags and was hopeful we could get a room but unfortunately no reception staff on to get into room. We left bags in storage and went out and when we came back we did get checked in about 30 mins early. Hotel is very clean and quiet. No real bar but can buy a few drinks in their fridge. Free and fast wifi and good air con. Love the layout of room as has its own hall area with storage and safe, then bathroom is connected via corridor rather than room and makes it feel bigger and more private. The beds are the most comfy beds ever!!!Rooms cleaned every day unless you stated otherwise. A few fixtures in bathroom were either loose or broken. Close to main area and the national museum however not handy if either of the party has mobility issues as it's a good walk and hotel itself has lots of stairs. Overall decent hotel for price and very quiet at night. Breakfast can be very crowded but plenty of choice. Has outside garden area although we did not use this"

"Stayed at the Amigo hotel for a couple of night's with my daughter. We both found it to be lively and welcoming. I was slightly worried as I'd been reading reviews saying that they took deposit off you when you arrived and that you had to pay for tea coffee in the room, this is not true. Paid tourist tax when arrived which is about £2 per night per adult which is the same in most European countries now. Tea/coffee is complimentary but no milk in the room, and then they asked us to pay for anything we'd had from the mini bar before we left. The room was nice not overly large but bigger another. It was quite warm in the room, there is air con though. Bathroom with nice shower and bodywash/shampoo and had soap. Breakfast was ok, enough choice unless your super fussy. Rolls, sliced bread with toaster, sweeted breads a bit like brioche but not, jam, hams, cheeses, cereal, yoghurt sausages ( which were real the 1st day and then were hot dog sausages the next) bacon, scrambled egg. All the staff were friendly and answered any questions. It's about a 15/ 20 min walk down hill to the national museum and a 5/10 walk in the opposite direction to supermarket Billa down some quite steep steps. Would definitely come back and stay again."
