Hotel Split

"Found by chance because we couldn't find rooms in Split (15-20 minutes away by car) it was truly a nice discovery. The rooms are spacious and have a sea view. The beach can be reached directly from the hotel. The parking is private and for a fee. The breakfast is quite modest and could be improved. Prices are standard. I will return"

"We have just returned from 10 night stay at Hotel Split in Podstrana, some of pros and cons from visit which unfortunately probably had more cons than pros for 4 star hotel Pros - Beautiful beach/Sea view room with balcony - large room with both bath and shower - beach access from hotel - Location is ideal for quieter beach resort close to amenities - 25 minutes on bus to Split - Restaurant on beach which part of hotel serves amazing food and wine (would highly recommended) Cons - Hotel is situated on main busy road - Water is hotel was often cold at peak times - Roof pool wasn’t used as though had sunbeds these had no umbrellas so was too hot - Had to pay extra to use the sun loungers on beach even as hotel guests - Breakfast was basic and same options daily with no change in menu - Hotel lobby bar often not manned and had to ask at reception and drinks took ages to be made. - Some staff were rude and unhelpful - Some parts of room were dated or needed TLC whilst others were modern, clean and looked 4*"

"Stunning hotel in beautiful location. Rooms very spacious and spotlessly clean I believe all have a sea view and ours was STUNNING! Rowels, bathrobes and and shower gel/ shampoo included. Nice, spacious shower/bathroom. Podstrana is quiet, it is a mellow, chilled place. I would recommend Hotel Split for couples, honeymooners and adults with grown-up families. We are in this group as we holiday with an adult son with learning disabilities (and our other son). The hotel staff were very kind. The hotel has a very nice breakfast and there was good choice. You could ask for eggs anyway you choose. It is a continental breakfast and plentiful. There's a lovely terrace and rooftop area with a small pool and relaxing music was played. There are lovely open spaces that are not used to their full potential. For example, a roof to op bar would be a wonderful place to be to make the most of the sunset. The only criticism is that there was no evening entertainment, but to be fair, we knew this before coming."
