"I have re-read the reviews on this accommodation and can only assume that we received a room well below par. This is, by far, the most awful, dirty, disgusting and depressing room we have ever had the misfortune to be booked into. The carpet was filthy, the pattern could not be distinguished from the stains or the chewing gum. The curtains did not fit the windows. The radiator did not work. I am not going to describe the pillows. The tiles around the sink were cracked and broken. If you are bigger than average, the toilet which is situated in a two and a half feet square cupboard, then you will either hit your head on the door handle standing up or have to leave the door open, as your knees will be up against the door. The housekeeping is extremely poor, the walls and paintwork had not been wiped down in a very long time. The bedside lights were full of bugs and dust. There was not even a kettle to brighten the gloom! The only saving grace was the breakfast which had a good choice of teas, cereals, meats, cheeses and breads. This room looked nothing like ours. I think it is time the owners of this accommodation pay the rooms (No. 30) a visit and see if they would like to be shown to this as their accommodation in Vienna, or maybe decide it's time for a total refurb! Very disappointed guest and on this room would not recommend the City Rooms to anyone."
