"My husband and I stayed at the Majestic Hotel in July 2026 in a Superior Double Room (Room 223). Overall, we had a pleasant stay, but I would say the hotel is very much what you would expect from a three-star property—if anything, it feels more like a very good two-star hotel than a strong three-star. There were plenty of positives, but also a few areas where improvements would make a big difference.
The Staff
The biggest asset of this hotel is undoubtedly the staff. Every member of staff we encountered was friendly, polite and welcoming. We were always greeted with a smile, they all spoke good English, and nothing ever seemed too much trouble. They genuinely made us feel welcome throughout our stay, and they deserve a great deal of credit.
Food
The food has been mentioned in several previous reviews, and I’d largely agree with what’s already been said.
Breakfast was fairly basic. There were salads, cold meats, cereals and bread for toasting. There was also a selection of hot food, although it sometimes looked as though it may have been leftovers from the previous evening’s dinner service. It wasn’t bad, but it certainly wasn’t a highlight.
The saving grace at breakfast was the gentleman making fresh omelettes, fried eggs and pancakes. These were excellent and definitely worth having.
We stayed on a half-board basis, and while the quality of the food was generally good, the selection was disappointing. The evening buffet was quite limited, usually offering just two main courses alongside chips, plenty of salad, cold meats, fruit and perhaps a couple of cake options for dessert. The food itself tasted nice enough, but there simply wasn’t much choice.
One pleasant surprise was the hotel’s lunch and dinner menu. If you’re staying on a bed and breakfast basis, or simply fancy lunch or dinner, I’d highly recommend ordering from this menu instead. Prices were very reasonable for Oludeniz, the portions were generous, and the quality of the food was noticeably better than the buffet.
Rooms
We stayed in one of the Superior Double Rooms on the top floor of Block B. The standout feature was undoubtedly the balcony. Room 223 had a beautiful view overlooking Oludeniz, and sitting out there was one of the highlights of our holiday.
The room itself was spacious and spotlessly clean. Housekeeping did an excellent job every day, with fresh towels provided daily.
That said, the rooms are beginning to look dated and would certainly benefit from refurbishment. Nothing was broken, but the décor feels tired and could do with refreshing.
The bathroom was perfectly adequate. It had a large rainfall shower head as well as a handheld shower, although during our stay only the handheld shower was working. One thing to be aware of is that the shower floor tiles become extremely slippery when wet, so extra care is needed. Hot water could also be a little inconsistent.
The air con was amazing and is free.
Be aware that if you want the use of a fridge it is £5 a day extra and to rent a kettle is £2 per day.
Pools
The hotel has two swimming pools, both of which were clean and well maintained.
Our only criticism was the water temperature. During July, when temperatures regularly reached 35–37°C, the pools warmed up very quickly and by mid-afternoon felt more like a warm bath than somewhere to cool off. Obviously the weather can’t be controlled, but it did reduce the enjoyment of using the pool during the hottest part of the day.
Bar
The bar area was probably our favourite part of the hotel. It’s a really comfortable, relaxed space to spend an evening, and the bar staff were fantastic—friendly, attentive and always happy to help. The atmosphere here was excellent and is something the hotel has absolutely got right.
Location
The location is excellent. The hotel is only around a five-minute walk from the main strip in Oludeniz and no more than a ten-minute walk to the beach.
There’s also a dolmuş (local minibus) stop just outside and to the left of the hotel, making it incredibly easy and inexpensive to visit Hisarönü, Ovacık and Fethiye. The public transport was frequent, reliable and very good value.
One Issue to Mention
The only real problem we experienced concerned the bar tab system.
Drinks were charged simply by giving your room number, and unfortunately we discovered on our final evening that several drinks belonging to other guests had been added to our bill. To be fair to the hotel, they dealt with the issue immediately and corrected the bill without any argument. However, it did take the shine off our final night, and I think the hotel should review how drinks are charged to prevent this happening.
I would strongly recommend that if you do run a bar tab, get a print out and check it before you pay. We had over 2,500tL worth of drinks added to our bill in error.
Overall
Overall, we enjoyed our stay. The excellent staff, fantastic location, lovely bar area and beautiful views from our room made for a very enjoyable holiday.
Would I return? Probably yes. However, I would avoid the half-board option and either stay bed and breakfast or simply eat out, as Oludeniz has so many excellent restaurants. I also wouldn’t run a bar tab again—I would simply pay for drinks as I ordered them.
Oludeniz has plenty of hotels to choose from, so there is strong competition, but the Majestic Hotel still offers good value, particularly thanks to its wonderful staff and excellent location."
