"We had an absolutely amazing time at this hotel and overall would rate our stay as very good. There are a few things that I think could be improved, but honestly, many of the negative reviews we have read seem to be more about the behaviour of some guests than the hotel itself.
Sunbeds:
This is probably the biggest issue that needs to be managed better. People were getting up at a crazy 5–6am, reserving huge numbers of sunbeds for their entire families, and then only actually using one or two. We saw people reserving up to nine sunbeds, while most of their family spent the entire day in the pool. This is incredibly selfish when other guests are looking for somewhere to actually sit and relax.
I think the hotel could introduce a much stricter policy — perhaps allowing reservations only shortly before the pool opens, or even using colour-coded towels and limiting how long a sunbed can be reserved without anyone using it. Everyone should have a fair chance to enjoy the pool area.
Room:
We were allocated a room in one of the older, non-renovated blocks. The room was definitely dated and quite dark, and the bathroom especially could do with some renovation and better lighting. However, we are not particularly picky, and we understand that July is an extremely busy time for the hotel, so we chose not to complain or ask to be moved to one of the more modern rooms. It didn't stop us from having a great holiday.
Food, bars and drinks:
We absolutely loved the food. There was a very good selection and, in our opinion, everything was nice and enjoyable. The bar staff were fantastic — friendly, hardworking and always smiling despite how busy they were.
A special mention has to go to Saim, who was always making sure our drinks were topped up and was genuinely such a lovely person. Thank you for making our stay even more enjoyable!
If you read reviews complaining about the restaurant or staff, I honestly think you have to take some of them with a pinch of salt. During our stay, we saw guests speaking to staff in a very rude and disrespectful way over absolutely nothing. Some people seem to think that because they have paid for an all-inclusive holiday, the staff are there to serve them without receiving basic respect in return. That is simply not acceptable.
One thing that really shocked us was the amount of food being wasted. People would pile their plates with huge amounts of food, take a bite or two and then leave everything to be thrown away. It was unbelievable to see so much perfectly good food wasted. Then someone arriving for a later breakfast or dinner may complain that there isn't enough choice left. Perhaps if people took only what they actually intended to eat, there would be much less waste.
Pool area:
Again, we saw comments saying that the pool area was dirty, but from what we witnessed, the hotel staff were constantly working to keep everything clean. The problem was often the behaviour of guests.
For example, children would have slush drinks and instead of putting the empty cups into the bins provided, some people would simply push them underneath the sunbeds. Of course, once the wind picks up, rubbish ends up everywhere. Inflatables were also regularly left around the pool and sunbeds instead of being put away.
Parents also need to take some responsibility. We saw children being left unsupervised and allowed to do whatever they wanted, creating mess and disruption for other guests. Hotel staff cannot possibly clean up after everyone constantly.
Respect for other guests:
One other thing that really stood out to us was the lack of consideration some guests had for the people around them. We understand that people are on holiday to relax and have fun, but that doesn't mean basic manners should disappear.
We witnessed adults shouting, swearing and arguing loudly around the hotel, even when there were small children nearby. There is absolutely nothing wrong with enjoying yourself, having a drink or having a laugh, but there is a big difference between having fun and completely forgetting that other families are sharing the same space.
The same applies to some children. We saw unsupervised kids running through the corridors, knocking on people's doors and then running away, apparently thinking it was a hilarious joke. Parents really need to remember that hotel staff cannot replace parental supervision. Children will obviously be children, but teaching them some basic respect for other guests and making sure they are supervised would make a huge difference.
Unfortunately, some people seem to forget that an all-inclusive holiday doesn't mean you have paid for the right to disturb everyone else around you. A little consideration, respect and common sense would go a very long way.
Entertainment:
The entertainment team were absolutely amazing! Jay and his colleagues were always smiling and doing their best to create a great atmosphere from the moment they started work. They really deserve recognition for the energy they put into entertaining everyone.
If you read reviews saying that the entertainment isn't good, I honestly think guests need to participate too. You don't have to be a professional dancer — clapping, smiling, joining in and simply having a bit of fun costs nothing. The entertainment is much better when guests actually get involved and enjoy themselves.
Overall:
We had a fantastic holiday and would happily return. The hotel isn't perfect, and there are definitely areas that could be improved, particularly the sunbed situation and some of the older rooms. But in our experience, the food was good, the drinks were good, the staff were friendly and hardworking, the entertainment was excellent and the hotel staff genuinely did their best.
My biggest takeaway is that some of the problems people complain about are actually caused by the guests themselves. If you treat the hotel and its staff with respect, don't waste food, supervise your children, put rubbish in the bins, don't reserve half the pool area at 5am and remember that other families are trying to enjoy their holiday too, everyone has a much better experience.
To all the staff — thank you for your hard work and for keeping your smiles even when some guests make your job much harder than it needs to be. We really appreciated you and had a brilliant time! ❤️
We would definitely consider coming back and would recommend the hotel to others."
