"⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fantastic Family Holiday at Grand Yazici Club Turban
We have just returned from a fantastic family holiday at Grand Yazici Club Turban and would happily recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing all-inclusive stay in Marmaris.
The setting of the hotel is one of its biggest strengths. Nestled amongst beautiful pine trees and right on the seafront, the resort offers stunning views across the bay and a peaceful atmosphere that makes it easy to unwind. The grounds are immaculately maintained and there is plenty of space throughout the resort.
One of the things that really impressed us was the variety of food available. In addition to the main buffet restaurant, there are several à la carte options, giving guests plenty of choice throughout their stay. At lunchtime you could choose between the buffet, the Turkish restaurant, the Italian restaurant, or grab something from the döner kebab takeaway area.
Our favourite was definitely the Italian restaurant. The food was excellent, particularly the bolognese and freshly made pizzas, and there was always plenty of choice. Sitting right on the seafront while enjoying lunch was a real highlight. Watching fish swim past in the crystal-clear water and looking out across the beautiful bay made every meal feel special.
A huge hit with our 3-year-old daughter Grace was the ice cream station. Fresh scooped ice cream was available every day from 11am until 6pm with no restrictions, which was fantastic for families. The gentleman serving the ice cream was always smiling, friendly and engaging with guests. He was a real credit to the hotel and helped make our daughter’s holiday even more memorable.
The pools and facilities were excellent, especially for families. Grace loved the children’s pool and the larger pool and there was always something happening around the resort. The entertainment in the evening was very impressive, and the team in the day tried to keep guests engaged without being intrusive with water polo and darts a couple of examples. One of the standout features of the resort was the beach and seafront area, which is probably one of, if not the best, in the Marmaris area. The hotel benefits from a long private sandy beach, something that is not always easy to find locally, along with a large wooden pier packed with comfortable sunbeds overlooking the bay.
The pier quickly became one of our favourite places to relax. There is a dedicated beach bar, and drinks are served directly to your sunbed by the waiting staff. Watching the waiters expertly weaving between guests on roller skates was impressive in itself! In particular, the young waiter with ginger hair was always friendly, cheerful and hardworking, and really helped create the welcoming atmosphere that made the hotel feel special.
The location was perfect for us. While the hotel feels peaceful and secluded amongst the pine trees, the dolmuş stop is only about a one-minute walk from the entrance, making it easy to get into Marmaris or İçmeler whenever we wanted. We also enjoyed using the water taxis, giving us plenty of options for exploring the area without spending a fortune on transport.
What stood out most was that we normally spend a lot of our holidays out exploring and rarely spend much time around the hotel itself. However, Club Turban was so enjoyable that we found ourselves spending far more time at the resort than we usually would. There was always something to do, and the setting was so relaxing that we were happy simply enjoying the facilities.
As with any holiday, we experienced a few minor issues during our stay, but what really matters is how those issues are handled. Customer Services were excellent throughout, and Rana in particular could not have done more to help us. She was friendly, attentive and genuinely cared about making our stay as enjoyable as possible. Her efforts played a big part in making our holiday so memorable.
The staff throughout the hotel were friendly, hardworking and always willing to help. Whether in the restaurants, bars, housekeeping or around the pool, we were consistently greeted with a smile and made to feel welcome. They had multiple bars so not many queues and the pool bar was 24hrs and the staff all very friendly, Emir was noticeably polite and friendly, we were in a family holiday but have a couple of drinks and they were good quality, the Lynchburg lemonade my particular favourite and my wife found the strawberry mojitos very nice.
The mattresses were a little firmer than we would normally choose, but after mentioning this to the hotel, a mattress topper was provided promptly, which made the bed much more comfortable. It was another example of the staff going out of their way to assist guests.
There was also a really nice mix of nationalities staying at the hotel, including English, Turkish and Russian guests, which created a welcoming and international atmosphere.
One thing we noticed was the number of returning guests. After spending a week there, we can completely understand why so many people choose to come back year after year.
Overall, Grand Yazici Club Turban exceeded our expectations. The beautiful setting, excellent food choices, family-friendly facilities, fantastic beach and pier, unlimited fresh ice cream, attentive customer service and welcoming atmosphere combined to create a truly memorable holiday. We would not hesitate to return in the future and we don’t tend to go to places a second time but we would return here in a heartbeat it had all you could want.
