"Unfortunately, the hotel disappointed me a lot overall. In the website photos, everything looks much higher quality and more well-thought-out than it actually is on-site.
The situation with the curtains was particularly bad for me. There are no proper sheer curtains, just the dark blackout curtains. These are, of course, intended for the evening. But since there is a multi-story residential building directly opposite and the neighbors can easily look into the room, you have to keep the dark curtains closed practically all the time. As a result, my room was dark for almost the entire vacation.
For me personally, it was therefore one of the most depressing vacations I have ever had. The constant darkness had a very strong effect on my mood. This is particularly annoying because I paid extra for the partial ocean view, which you naturally can hardly see when the curtains are closed. I found that to be a real shame.
The balcony was also really dirty when I arrived. Under the air conditioner, there was still an old bird's nest that apparently was never removed. The bird has moved out by now, but its house was allowed to stay. 😉 The towel racks on the balcony are also rusted – honestly, you wouldn't want to hang a towel there.
In the bathroom, there is hardly any shelf space for toiletries. There is only a small shelf above the toilet, where you constantly have to worry that something will fall off. There are also some points regarding hygiene in the bathroom that do not seem particularly clean or well-maintained.
I was also a bit confused when it came to cleaning. It is stated that cleaning is done daily and the towels are changed every three days. However, I had the impression that – if anything – cleaning was done about every three days, while the towels were changed and the bed was made daily instead. The bed linen was always clean, which I would like to mention positively, but there was definitely room for improvement regarding the actual room cleaning.
The food was also disappointing to me. Throughout the entire week, it was basically the same thing over and over, just slightly modified. After a few days, you had the feeling of constantly getting the same dishes.
In my opinion, the beach area also does not quite match the impression from the pictures. In the pictures, it looks as if the lounging area is directly at or very close to the hotel. In reality, you have to walk about 5–7 minutes to get there. Anyone who wants a good lounge chair should also be there early, as the spots are taken relatively quickly. Some of the lounge chairs are already broken. Only the front lounge chairs have tables or storage options. There is no real service at the beach. If you are lucky, at least some cleaning was done there at some point.
Overall, the lighting in the room is also very dim. Together with the constantly closed dark curtains, the room therefore appears permanently gloomy. As already mentioned, that really had a strong negative impact on my mood.
Effort was obviously made to make the hotel look beautiful, but in my opinion, the practical utility was not sufficiently considered. Small things also make a big difference in the overall impression: the visible cables under the TV or the non-functioning outlet on the side where the floor lamp was actually supposed to be plugged in.
However, I would still like to mention a few positive things: The location is generally good and the hotel is easy to reach. Furthermore, I arrived on the first day only after 9 PM and still got a sandwich from the kitchen – I found that very thoughtful. The staff themselves were also eager and friendly. My impression is rather that the budget is possibly being massively cut in many places, and that ultimately affects the quality and condition of the hotel.
All in all, I unfortunately had the impression: a lot of appearance, but too little quality and attention to practical detail. In my opinion, the pictures on the website convey a significantly better impression than the reality on site. I also spoke with other guests who partly came to a similar conclusion.
For me, it was unfortunately a very disappointing stay overall, and the price-performance ratio was not right for me."
