Casa De Maris Hotel

"This was our first holiday in Turkey, I booked this hotel after some research and video watching - so happy I did! The location is perfect - outside of Marmaris town so a little quieter but Marmaris (and Ichemler) is either about a 45 min walk along the beachfront or a 10 min taxi ride (or use the local bus for 40 TL - approx 80p equivalent!!) The rooms are a good size, we upgraded to a sea view room and so happy we did as the view was beautiful. We have a couple days left and I am going to miss this view. Staff are super helpful and friendly. Food was great in our opinion- choice of hot and cold food each meal time at the buffet restaurant- mix of Turkish and Western food. The drinks on the AI - they will make any drink you want- cocktails included - big up for the Long Island iced teas - they are strong though 😁 Pool was nice - sun beds can get hogged up pretty quick in peak time but we were not that fussed about this as we went out a lot. The beach area for the hotel is a one min walk if that - the beautiful jetty with the sun beds on was super nice too. There is a lifeguard and there is a staff member who will take drinks orders and get them from the hotel and bring them to you too. We were super impressed and we would like to come back again, maybe not end of season this time so we can experience all that the local area can offer."

"My husband and I have just returned from our 20th visit to this lovely hotel. As always we were given the warmest welcome from Abdarahm on reception and serkan the bell boy. Check in is always quick and easy and our cases were taken straight up to our room. We always upgrade to a sea view room, it is worth paying a little extra as you overlook the pool area and the view of the ocean is stunning. If you wake up early enough you can watch the sunrise from the balcony, really beautiful to watch. The hotel is in the ideal location between Marmaris and Icmeler with lots of shops and bars in easy walking distance . We arrived just in time for dinner and were warmly greeted by the restaurant staff including Tolga the head chef and all the lovely waiters . These lovely people are the main reason that we keep going back every year, they really are the nicest people we have ever met. During our first week it was my birthday, Tolga made me a cake and all the waiters sang happy birthday to me, made me feel really special, such a nice touch. The three waiters that really are a credit to the hotel are Sellahattin, Enis and Emin, they work so hard as do all of the staff including the bar staff and cleaners. The hotel is always spotlessly clean, the cleaners arrive really early in the morning to clean the lobby and reception area and then spend the rest of the day cleaning the rooms that are always done to a very high standard. The food was really nice although as expected at the end of the season it does tend to be repetitive but we always managed to find something nice , the jacket potatoes and strawberry waffles were amazing . We spent most of our time on the beach as the pool area does get quite noisy , the entertainment team do love to play music quite loud during the day so, if like me you enjoy reading and relaxing then the beach is the place to go. Sinan is the beach man who looks after everyone, he is such a nice man, he greets everyone with a smile, always insists on making up your sunbed , he works every single day and keeps the beach clean and tidy. The area is very good for shopping, but we prefer the next resort of Icmeler, a 5 minute ride on the local dolmus that comes every ten minutes, you can flag it down anywhere and only costs 40 lira, about 75 pence. The shops there are much nicer and you dont get hassled so much. Our friend Tahir runs a shop called metropol in the centre of the resort, his clothes and rock band t shirts are very good value for money and very good quality. There is an excellant restaurant called florida that we always go to for sunday roast and english breakfast, the owners and staff are lovely and always welcome us warmly. We have really enjoyed our 20th visit sharing special time with all the lovely staff members and also other returning guests that we now call friends. The only downfall for us was the entertainment team, we were hoping to spend more evenings at the hotel , but the acts were quite disappointing , 2 of the acts were on 3 times while we were there and lasted no more than 45 minutes. the team seem to be more interested in the younger guests. I think this problem needs to be addressed or returning guest may not keep coming back, so we are hoping it will improve next year. We often go to infinity bar 2 mins down the road, lovely family run bar, good atmosphere , waiters dance and encourage customers to join in, they also show football matches and other sports that draw in the crowds and serve nice food. All in all another special holiday where we feel happy and relaxed, such a lovely place. "The entertainment was really amazing - Ozzy works super super hard and is accommodating, happy, bubbly any time of the day. He’s amazing with the younger adults who want to see a different side of turkey showing them all the best places to go to on a night time and is always happy to be there aswell. He’s really made our experience this holiday. Great work"
