"The location is beautiful, and I especially enjoyed the spa. The Silent Beach area is excellent, although the water was occasionally not as clean as expected. Hillside offers a huge variety of food, but I felt that the “quality” did not always match the range available. For example, the Chinese food was disappointing, the dumplings I tried were among the worst I have had. It also seemed that this section was not particularly popular with guests. They should consider offering fewer options executed to a higher standard. Another issue was accessibility. There is no lift or ramp leading to the restaurant, which made things difficult for families with young children. We were travelling with our 4-month-old baby and had to carry the pram up and down the stairs for every meal. Noise was a big issue. We stayed in one of the rooms furthest from the beach, yet the music from the evening entertainment was so loud that we could clearly hear and feel the bass in our room every night until midnight! The resort heavily promotes its water sports facilities, but our experience was disappointing. There were only two small sailing boats available, and we were told that one was out of service. In addition, the rescue boat was not always available. The lounge areas could be managed better. Hotel guests regularly smoked in these spaces, and it was common to see people lying down and sleeping on the sofas with their feet on the cushions! I don’t understand how this has been normalised! Considering the price, there are better options elsewhere in Europe."
