Hotel Mutlu Beach

"We returned to the Mutlu after a number of years. I am sorry to say we wont be returning. We fell in love with this Hotel for its place in Calis on the end of the promenade and beautiful views across the bay. The rooms have been modernised with walk in showers in the bathrooms and decoration has been updated. The rooms come with a kettle and fridge as standard which is good. But no crockery is provided just paper cups. When we asked about this the staff at at bar and restaurant that the hotel does not supply them. The last time we stayed crockery in the rooms was provided. The Breakfast was also a disappointment it was so good lots of selection and lots of fresh fruit but it must have been the end of the season as no melon was not available."

"The Mutlu Hotel is located on the Calis Beach promenade with the shingle beach no more than 10 steps away. A short walk from numerous restaurants, gift shops and small supermarkets. The back of the hotel overlooks the private boats for day trips and the Calis to Fethiye Boat taxi. By following the blue path which starts over the foot bridge, you can walk to the beautiful Fethiye park in under 10 minutes. The atmosphere in the hotel is relaxed and friendly. It has a lift to all floors. The reception staff are helpful. The room was spacious with ample wardrobe space and storage for suitcases. Bathroom was modern with a waterfall shower. Housekeeping was every day with a change of towels. The ladies work so very hard and greeted us whenever our paths crossed. Breakfast was Turkish style with a daily rota of cooked eggs or pancakes. There was always fruit, yoghurt, tomatoes, cucumber, cheeses, meats, fresh bread, honey, jams, olives, cereals. Coffee machine and a tea urn and hot water . There is also a cold water and juice machine. I would recommend you bring your own mug or cup as the hotel cups are small. The pool area is surrounded by lawns and some mature trees for shade. Ample sunbeds and umbrellas. The pool itself is a good size with steps and railings to ease entry. The Brothers Restaurant is located in the front of the Hotel with a bar area for lunch time and evening meals. There is also a coffee and cake shop on the hotel grounds. This Hotel has many repeat visitors but it didn't feel 'clicky'. Good value for money. Calis Beach is a lovely resort. Beach is a public beach with shingle not sand and to be honest could do with a clean up. Lots of cigarette butt's left. However I noticed that some of the hotels had 'adopted' the beach in front of their location and these areas had lovely sunbeds, umbrellas and very tidy. From Calis you can visit Fethiye, Hisaronu, Oludeniz and beyond by using the Dolmus buses. Very cheap and frequent. We will be returning to Calis next year."

"Great location with many returning guests, hence this is why we chose it. The rooms were pleasant with fridge, safe and kettle. Rooms were cleaned every day with fresh towels. Reception staff very accommodating, thank you Yilzaz (may have spelt that wrong). We arrived at midnight and my two friends had been given a room with a double bed, but were immediately moved to a twin room. The pool area was lovely with enough sun beds most of the time but I think that may be an issue in the peak season as we struggled a couple of days. There could be room for improvement at breakfast. Perhaps a variety of breads, danish pastries/ croissants and more fruit instead of lots of bowls of syrupy liquids, not sure what half of them were - honey and similar but never did find one that looked or tasted like marmalade. The Brothers bar and restaurant a valuable addition to the hotel. Friendly staff all round which makes for a great holiday. Thank you Hotel Mutlu."
