"We have just come back from a week away at the Kadikale resort. We are a family of 4, children 4&5 and we took my mum
We arrived very late on a flight out from Stansted. We chose to get a private transfer through jet2 as it was direct. Took just over a hour.
We arrived midnight and the staff were polite direct and checked us into the room within 5 mins. Which was appreciated as we had 2 very tired children. The room was a family Room, aircon was cold and had a safe, very easy to use! Hairdryer, was crap wish I had bought mine but I managed a week!
Towels pp in the rooms and housekeeping came very other day.
We woke up to start the holiday the next day. Breakfast in the main buffet restaurant - busy, buzzy everything you would expect from a buffet all inclusive. Staff were onit with drinks and clearing away empty’s. This was the same experience through the holiday and the food was fresh hot and loads of choice. There were Stations with chefs cooking to order. The hot breads were yummy!
We were put out initally as it seemed as though all the sunbeds were taken by people putting towels down first thing - that was annoying but we muddled through on the first day and played the towel game for the rest of the holiday…. If you can’t beat then join them. 8am was a good time to get your choice of bed.
Swimming pools were lovely, clean and pool area/bar was the same. Waterslides for the kids has allowed times with a lifeguard twice a day. We all enjoyed that!
Beach - man made didnt bother with that as the kids couldn’t really enjoy building san castles and stuff, but the pool and slides were fab, don’t feel like we were missing out.
My husband tipped the bar staff when we arrived £20. We were looked after and seen to first when waiting. They spent a little longer on the cocktails and overall was quite nice to feel VIP. They were polite and were fast with serving. Some had difficulty understanding English but we all managed.
The hotel offers 1 meal at the Al
La carte restaurant fish and Italian in the week that we stayed. We didn’t bother with the fish as we knew the kids wouldn’t eat it, but we did the Italian, it was lovely and made a nice change to the main buffet restaurant, this is located on the waterfront and has lovely sunset views.
The only thing I would say is the choice of food you choose. The pizza and pasta was lovely. We had 2 people choose steak and it was cold. Not such a great choice but overall the experience was really nice.
This is also where the snack bar is during the day, offering pizzas, burgers and chicken wraps. These are cooked to order and again really yummy. We eat there quite a few times as it was quieter than the main restaurant. Slower pace. Staff were lovely and made a huge effort with the kids.
The entertainment team offer kids club and different activities throughout the day, my mum joined in daily with the Aqua class, which she loved and zumba class. Which again she also enjoyed. Our kids joined in with the kids club - colouring in the shade, the team made such a fuss of the kids they enjoyed going a few times for get out of the sun.
The mini disco was run by the entertainment team, this was 9-9.30 was a selection of songs the kids get to go on stage and dance, our kids loved it and after that it was time for bed. They do go on for a show at 10 but we never made it there. They did a whiteparty on the terrace one evening and that was fun.
The spa - they wanted cash! English moneys was their first choice. We had a full body massage and Turkish bath through the holiday. Both treatments were amazing. £40 pp for a hour which is such good value. Really lovely and I’d have gone again if we were there longer.
One of the best massages I’ve had was so nice. Also Loved the experience of the Turkish bath!!
My daughter wanted a hair braid at the end of the holiday and it was £10 in the hair salon, very pretty and she was chuffed.
My son chose a moody Ronaldo football kit from one of the shops
On site, €15 he was so happy with it.
A little holiday shop, selling lays crisps, sweets pool toys, ice creams also holiday tat, we got sucked in a few times with snacks and the kids but wasn’t expensive. Just not included in the all inclusive.
Ice cream lolly’s and iced coffees available in different places at certain times during the day.
Towels pp included for the beach/pool, get a card when you check in which is traded for the towels each day and when returned.
A few men were coming round wanting us to do the excursions but we politely declined, they tried their luck a couple of times but got the hint, and to be fair left us alone.
We had a lovely week away, I would definatly recommend it for a family we had a great time. The kids also loved it. I was worried reading the reviews prior to coming so that’s why I wanted to write my own, the staff can come across rude but alot of the time it’s the language barrier and to be honest it’s not really the end of the world, they did there best to understand and everything we asked got answered. Great holiday. Great hotel. Great value for money!"
