Xanadu Island

"Having a good holiday at this resort, there are some amazing things about this hotel, mainly the staff who are absolutely lovely but there are a few bad things. We are in a romance suite, nothing wrong with the room but definitely would not say it was very clean. I am not sure what the maid does do every day when she comes in as I don’t think the floor has been swept once and she never cleanes around the sinks, all the marks from where we set our toothbrushes down have never been cleaned even once. Bins were not emptied every day and cups were never changed in the two weeks we have been here. The food has been very nice and plenty of choice, the only small thing is it can be quite cold. The waiters and waitresses are all amazing though, so friendly and helpful, too many to mention but some need a mention, especially Arini, Bakhtygul, Mucahit and Veysel, a big thanks to all of them for looking after us so well. I know we have come at the end of the season but we have felt like it at times, everything is closing down, which is a shame for the people on the last couple of weeks, because we still paid a lot for our holiday. The entertainment was being wound down as well but the three bands we did see were fantastic, The Drifters were our absolute favourites, only sang one Drifters song and were two women and two men, so nothing like the real Drifters but were just brilliant. Once again have to give a special mention to our two barmen in the Rosebud lounge Oguzhon and my particular favourite Emir, who looked after us so well for our two weeks, he knew exactly what we drinking, and kept bringing us another round. The two entertainment guys Sait and Roim looked after everyone and were really friendly to everyone. Spa was very nice, we had a treatment and were impressed with Kimang and Murdi. As a whole this has been a lovely holiday, but would make sure I came earlier next time."

"Another fantastic holiday at this beautiful resort. This is the fourth consecutive year we have visited and as soon as we arrive we are totally relaxed and at ease. The rooms are spacious and spotlessly clean. The setting is fantastic with beautiful gardens and amazing sunset views. We have visited many other all inclusive resorts in Turkey but what really sets Xanadu apart is the extra friendly staff. This seems to rub off on the guests leading to a happy, chilled vibe. A big thank you to the following staff- but to be fair I could have included another 20! Nesligül is always so welcoming, hardworking, and happy. Also in the restaurant a special thanks to Mucahit and Arini for looking after us. The best pizzas in Turkey are made by Islam and again he is so friendly. We missed Agit at the Archipelago Bar- we hope to see him next year. Eren was extremely hard working and friendly at the pool bar. Finally a big thank you to Safa who is always on hand at reception to make sure that everything is perfect. Thank you! We really hope to see you all again soon. Dorothy and Ian x"

"Really liked our room (or rooms, rather. It's worth upgrading to a Lavender Suite, I think). Food was good. We might go somewhere that's adult-only next time. Children are usually fine, but it's definitely noisier. You can order drinks from your location via a QR code. Nice in theory, but 20% - 30% of the time, your order will not go through, even though it says it has. Probably best doing it in person. If you'd like your hair doing (men or women), check out Can (pronounced Chan) in the salon... he'll look after you and do a great job!"
