"Absolutely NOT a 4-star hotel – extremely disappointing This hotel was a huge disappointment and, in my opinion, does not deserve a 4-star rating at all. The standard was nowhere near what you would expect from a 4-star hotel. The cleanliness was unacceptable. There was mould in the bathroom, including on the door, and the room had a constant damp and musty smell. The air conditioning looked like it belonged to another era and, even worse, there was mould inside it as well. I honestly found it difficult to understand how a hotel in this condition can be advertised as 4-star. The food was another major disappointment. There was very little choice and the quality was poor. What made things even worse was the cleanliness of the dishes – some plates were clearly not properly washed and still had visible grease marks on them. This is simply unacceptable for a hotel claiming to have a 4-star standard. And then there are the extra charges for practically everything. You have to pay extra for things that should be standard in a hotel of this category, such as Wi-Fi, beach towels, sun loungers on the beach and even the key card. It felt like every little thing came with an additional charge. The situation around the pool was ridiculous as well. There were far too few sun loungers, so if you wanted to get one, you had to wake up early and reserve it. That is not the kind of experience I expect from a 4-star hotel. The “drinks” were another joke. There was no proper cocktail menu. You basically chose an alcoholic drink and then chose a soft drink to mix it with. That was apparently considered a cocktail service. The location is also not particularly convenient, as the hotel is quite far from the city centre. And the information that the hotel was renovated only a year ago is honestly one of the biggest surprises. Based on the condition of the room, bathroom and air conditioning, I saw absolutely no evidence of a recent renovation. If anything was renovated, it certainly did not improve the areas that guests actually have to use. For comparison, I previously stayed at another 4-star hotel about 1 km from the Parador, and the difference was enormous. That hotel actually felt like a 4-star property. This one simply cannot compare. Overall, this hotel was a massive disappointment. The condition, cleanliness, food, lack of facilities, constant extra charges and overall standard are nowhere near what I would expect from a 4-star hotel. I definitely would not recommend staying here. Save your money and choose somewhere else."
