"I'm not sure why this hotel has so many negative reviews as we found it very enjoyable on the whole...Starting at reception around 4 hours early to check in, the lovely reception staff especially Olfa who helped us out a couple of times made us feel welcome, pointed out where to get a drink to pass a bit of time, then sorted our room pronto...The room itself was lovely, clean and modern overlooking the sea and pool...small problem for me being a light sleeper was entertainment was below us, so quite noisy.....Olfa would have moved us, but we adjusted to the noise which wasnt every night...aircon could have been better, and tv didnt work, but I fiddled around with it and got it going, some guests complained that they had no tv all week??.....Rooms ARE cleaned daily and towels changed, so dont believe reviews stating otherwise, bed made, bins emptied etc...The food in my opinion for an all inclusive was a very good standard, quite samey as you'd expect, but really well cooked and tasty especially the spicy Tunisian dishes, breakfast didnt have too much for us, but fresh eggs made to order, fresh rolls and cakes, yoghurt etc, coffee from machines was good, but very strong!!! Yes it's true, there can be times you will struggle for a few minutes to get a clean table at lunch or dinner, but once you are seated and catch the eye of someone they will almost immediately prepare it for you...They do work tirelessly, but obviously too much at peak times...you do as per usual get the ignorant rude jokers that jump in the queue.....The pool and sunbathing area did get busy, and its true, 5am starters unfortunately, but always got a bed thanks to the main guy (sorry, forgot your name) who found everyone a space...Its a strange set up, more beds around the garden and kids pool than the main pool, but not a problem, just an observation...beach was OK, quite cramped, but fine, yes sun goes down at 4ish, but seriously to the bad reviewer, is that the hotels fault??? Get towels at reception for a small deposit....Beach restaurant did pasta and rolls and was fine,chef was a nice guy and my go to was the bolognese.....Paid bar next door as is a "gold bar" near reception for premium drinks...Didnt honestly like the inside bar, didnt get a good vibe from staff, not rude, just not that friendly and always talking arabic/French and ignoring me at times which I found slightly ignorant...On the other hand, the pool bar staff were amazing, so helpful, hardworking, always busy and a credit to the hotel..sorry that again I forgot your names, but the tall slim guy and the 2 girls were my favourites (others were great too!!) Bottled water available all day, its not replenished in room...Entertainment was mainly loud music or karaoke but didnt see or do any of it because of an injury I had, that also stopped us going to the medina which is supposed to be great..currency exchange at hotel after 10.30 and rate not too bad (better than airport) Get small notes to tip goid service and cleaners....Remember that its a closed currency and ilegal to take out of the country, they do check at airport so be aware.. For Tunisia, I feel this is a 5 star and we have added this to our list of hotels we would return to...If you haven't been to North Africa before please open your mind, it us not the UK so standards, health and safety and food etc will be different to here...Tunisia has had a reallyhard time over the last 15 or so years, but is a lovely sunny welcoming country with fantastic people, beautiful scenery and beaches and some good hotels, this most definitely one of them..."
