"Here's what we feel is a totally unbiased honest review of the hotel .
We arrived a fortnight ago for a two week stay .
It was our 2nd visit to the hotel and 3rd visit to Tunisia in 10 months , we previously stayed at The Marhaba Royal Salem about 20 minutes walk from here , we enjoyed our stay there, no real negatives but we do personally prefer The Marhaba Beach .
We rebooked this hotel due to the wonderful time we had here last November.
I'll start with the basics.
We booked a sea view room with Tui .
We booked a private transfer to and from the airport via Tui .
We were greeted really well at Endifha airport by the customs officers , staff and tui reps, we purchased a 27gb data sim at the airport from the orange stand , it cost £10 and worked perfectly, quick tip ask the girls there to set it up for you there and then , our transfer ran very smoothly.
Upon arrival at the hotel we were greeted like old friends by the Porter and reception staff who remembered us straight away .
Bechir , Mounika and Mohammed on the front desk are absolutely lovely ,they would wave and smile at us everytime we saw them .
We were given a welcome drink , filled in the paperwork and was informed our room was ready straight away .
We were taken to the room which was 268 and were very happy with both the room and view .
We unpacked and went straight to the pool bar to see Elias the pool barman who we had met last Yr , unfortunately he wasn't there due to ill health , thankfully he's now returned as he is one of the nicest men you will ever encounter.
Best wishes Elias , hope to see you back to full health when we return . ❤️.
However we were looked after by the lovely Ghadda who was a real gem she treated us like Kings for the 2 week stay , I'm going to really miss my strawberries she brought me every single day with a lovely kind smile ❤️ .
We ate in the restaurant that evening and met the lovely Kamel , Salah , Chaker , Ahmed and the lovely Mohammed ( Hamma Hamma ) ❤️ once again we had met these gentlemen last yr and they were one of the reasons we rebooked as they are true gentlemen.
Ousamma who works in the lobby bar in the evening is also a truly lovely guy , he never passed us without saying hello and having a chat
They are really lovely hardworking, kind men and a credit to the hotel , we can't thank them enough for there kindness.
Our Maid was amazing, she never stopped singing and dancing and kept our room immaculate as well as making incredible towel art every day .
The guy who covered her on her day off was also a really great bloke .
Thank you to the lovely Ali the lifeguard for his kindness, He is an absolute superstar , he is always polite, attentive and super friendly , We also have to give credit to his 3 young colleagues who were lovely lads we enjoyed our daily chat and a joke whilst they remained fully professional throughout.
Thanks also to all the other hardworking bar staff and restaurant staff throughout the hotel , pool and beach .
The security staff in the hotel and the beach are also incredibly polite and friendly.
Nadia from Guest Relations was also always strolling around if you needed her .
Last but not least are the animation team , normally by the end of a 2 week holiday we are ready for home but on this occasion we could easily do another couple of weeks , these guys never stop walking around , arranging activities or just chatting.
We are quite quiet people so don't really take part in these activities however the animation team never ever left us out , they'd sit on our sunbeds chatting day after day , they never pressurised you into joining in either.
They are honestly the nicest most polite group of young people ever .
Special shout outs to Alex , Joe , Sarah , Marcelo, Mo Mo and Adam and last bit not least the incredible Jacky ❤️, We could seriously adopt these guys and take them home .
If we missed anyone out , appologies it's hard remembering everyone
The other guests were lovely too .
We ate out a few times just to mix things up , it's something we do everywhere we visit.
Farmers steakhouse is very good as is Mio Mondo and Chillis at the Mall of Sousse .
We had a few fast food type meals at K.F.C and Bunz both were very nice .
The desert shop next to Papa John's is also very good and very competitively priced .
We bought snacks from Carrefour and the shop you go down the steps to on the right as you leave the main gates just past Mozarts , everything is priced up and quite reasonable.
We also bought snacks in the hotel shop and again everything was priced up but slightly more expensive than the shops outside which is expected.
We never ate at the a la carte as its not really our thing to be honest .
We also never took part in any paid activities.
We changed up sterling at the bank , used our Chase bank cards and drew cash out at the cash machine in the hotel next door , there seems to be a 200tnd limit per withdrawal and it charges you 10tnd per transaction but the rates better than in the hotel bank , so its swings and roundabouts ,you can make further withdrawals that day but only 200tnd at a time , I'm not sure that's the case with all banks but it was with chase .
We did use Achref for taxis and can highly recommend him .
As we write this we are currently in Enfidha airport awaiting our homewood bound flight but would jump back in a taxi to the Marhaba Beach right now if we could .
It's an incredible hotel , as long as they don't change we will keep returning as they have hit a winning formula.
The Food at the airport is also very pricey , we always go to the Burger place there and get a meal deal each , My Wife looked on her bank and the exact same meals are £15 more in total since the end of Nov last Yr.
Other than that , no real gripes, weather was fab , we go home happy with nice tans We will be back in a few months , if you're currently here or are have a holiday here booked we hope you have a fab holiday xx ."
