"Good Hotel, spacious, clean, friendly staff. Nice pool areas and beach. Good location with shops nearby. Not far from Enfida airport. Downside was the food although plentyful the variety was limited, and the hot food was not always hot. The entertainment was average except for the saxophone player in the hotel lobby (one night only) who was great and had people dancing. As for the other nightly entertainment could be better and not enough seats for people to sit and enjoy. Animation team were hit and miss, some were very friendly (especially Sam) while others less friendly. We booked private trips through Reception which were private and cost a lot less than the tour company charged. Rooms were clean and comfortable however, no tea or coffee facilities. Our room had an amazing sea view. Overall we had a good enjoyable week, and we will return in a couple of years."

"May 2026 Sousse Holiday. Second Visit to Tunisia & Sousse, Went in 2025 & the Experience was Enjoyable so Booked another. Previous Visit was at the Marhabah Salem, this Time we Picked the Royal Marhabah Salem (Same Location, Sister Hotels), The Location is Linked & The Management is the Same, You can use The Facilities in Both Hotels, Slight Differences in Rooms in Which the Royal Salem has Better Decor, Room Appreance & Utilities. The Hotel is Part of the Marhabah Chain/Franchise. Booked Holiday from the UK Birmingham with Tui Holidays, Flights, Hotel, Transfers. Package was for 11 Nights in May 2026. The Hotel we already had an Experience of via a Stay in 2025 at the Salem, The Hotel is Well Maintained the Grounds/Complex of the Hotel are Tidy, Clean, Organised & Enjoyable for Sunshine Walks. The Room was Spacious, Good Firm Beds, we Opted for a Twin Family Room, 2 Single Beds, a Single Bed & Bed Sofa, Tv, Phone, Shower, Little Kitchen in the Room, Fridge, the Royal has a Small Kitchen (Electric Stove Does Not Work However, Knobs Removed Possibly for Safety), The Royal Compared to the Salem has a Few Extra Utilities other Than that both are Similar. Room was Good for the 3 of us. The Royal has a Nice Relaxing Reception Area, Glass View Lifts, Bar at the Front Reception Area with Snacks. Just outside is a Few Tables in which Guests usually Sit Enjoy Drinks or Cigarettes. The Hotel has 3 Times for Food Services, The Food is Buffet Style, Breakfast which is a Mix of a Euro Continental Foods with Some Local Dishes, Fresh Orange Juice, Coffee, Cooked Omelettes, Cereals, Fruits & Cakes, French Breads & Croissants. Lunch is Served with European Foods, Tunisian Local Dishes, & a Theme of Meats or Fishes, The Grill Meats were Nice & Fresh Tasting along with the Salads. Dinner, is Well Presented, Table Cloth Style, Every Night has a Different Theme, Fresh Meats or Fish, Kebabs, Mash, Fresh Veg, Roast Beef Cut with Gravy, Salads, Olive Oils, Sauces, Good Desserts Cakes, Ice Creams. All Drinks are Continuing via the Waiters, all Big Brands of Soft Drink Coca Cola, Fanta, Sprite, Cold Water Bottled, Local Beers Cold Available. The Beach is within the Complex Grounds at the Rear, Staffed via Security which is Visible & Indirectly for Guest Safety. The Beach has a Restaurant Which also Serves Lunch Local Grill Fish Available. The Salem Restaurant has Indoor & Outdoor Eating (Can get Busy due to all those at the Pools & Beach Arriving at the Salem for Food). The Royal has Nice Table Settings, Food Layout, Well Presented Hall for the Guests High Quality Tiles Ect. The Hotel was Picked Again by us as. Family if 3 as it is Well Located in a Vibrant Area of Sousse, the Hotel is Near 2 Large Shopping Stores the Palms Centre & Mega Store both Accepts Cards, & Have Many Good Travel Gifts, other items that Maybe Required, European Food Brands. The Cigarette Hut is Located Right By the Palms Centre Offering All International Brands & Local Brands at Affordable Prices for a Tourist. Local Banks are also On the Main Road/Stretch, However to Exchange Cash British Pounds, Euros, Dollars, it is Easy at the Hotel as the Hotel has a Money Exchange Office in which the Rates are the Same as outside & You have More Safety. The Tunisian Currency is a Closed Currency the Tunisian Dinar cannot be Taken outside the Country, so The use of the Hotel Exchange is Helpful to Exchange back any unspent Dinars. Taxis are Right outside the Hotel, Registered Yellow Cabs, from the Hotel to the Main Madina is about 15/20 Dinars (One Way). The Madina is Worth a Visit has Some Historical Sites, a Ancient Mosque that use to be a Roman Fort, also a Roman Fort the Ribat of Sousse which is Now a Museum was Very Good to View, (Pictures Attached). The Area of Sousse To Myself is Vibrant & Fun, it Has Many Food Stores, Shops, Tourists, Bars, Caffès, Beachfronts, This Makes Sousse a Enjoyable Holiday Destination. The Hotel Royal & Salem are Full of Guests from all Over, & Many Return again after a Good Visit Like us, If You are Expecting a Dubai or Qatar Experience this is Not that Sort of Place & You have to Pay for those Types of Locations to a High Value, What Tunisia & the Marhabahs offer is a Affordable Price, Safe, Family Orientated Holiday as all the Staff Take Pride in The Hotel, The Tunisian Tourists Industry & will Make an Effort to Speak to You say Good Morning or Good Afternoon if You Need any Help they are always Available to Help. The Hotels Could use a Upgrade in Some Areas of Decorations As it had a Y2K Feeling but then Again they are Clean & Well Painted & Maintained. The Royal & Salem Hotels Have a Number of outdoor Pools, A Large Heated Indoor Pool, Sauna, Hair Salon, Cosmetics & a Local Indoor Shop which Makes Everything You Need in 1 Place. We at our Stay in May 2026 Met Guests who also Stayed at our Time at the Hotel in 2025, Fellow British Tourists (Birmingham, Newcastle, Liverpool, London, Yorkshire, Derbyshire, Welsh, Scottish, Irish) Like the Hotel & along with the Germans & French Make up the Biggest Value of Numbers at the Hotel, Other European Countries also well Represented Russia, Lithuania a Good Few from there, Poland, & Local Arab Countries Algeria, Tunisian Locals, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Libya, Egypt, Some Arrive Due to Tunisia being More Liberal Yet Still Modest & Welcoming to Other Muslim Nations, Good Numbers of British Indians also Enjoy the Hotel they Arrive in Groups & Enjoy the Local Atmosphere & a Different Look to Muslim Culture. The Hotel offers Entertainment In the Day & Night, in the Day You get the Pool Party & Foam Party Styles in the Evening You get the Night Time Shows which Many Guests Enjoy Watching & Kids Enjoy as its Fun & Interactive the Animation Staff Do Enjoy Romancing the British & German Mature Females & Many Seem to Be Romantically Involved which is Nice to See. The Biggest Sell Point is Staff, The Staff Make this Place, First the Rooms & Hotel are More than Good Enough to Stay within it is An Appropriate 4 Star Tunisian Rating why Choose Here to others the Marhabah Salem, Royal & Beach are all Linked So You get the use of Many Hotel Facilities You only have to Eat You Evening Meal at the Hotel You are Booked within. The Staff Go out the Way to Make Your Trip, Holiday Vacation Enjoyable & it Shows as it Builds Customer Loyalty, MAY of Guest Relations is always Available at Reception for any Information & Support or Advice & Is Knowledgeable & Speaks Fluent English & German, She Enjoys Her Role & is Well Linked to the Holiday Staff Providers Such ad Tui,Jet 2, First Choice, Tunisian Travel Service. SAFA, a Chamber Maid at the Salem, Always Helpful, Every Morning she Would Say Good Morning, How are You a Conversation on if You Need anything or What You are Planning Today was Similar as Talking to a Close Friend & Her Charm & Big Smile will Make anyones Day, Extremely Hard Working & Always Had a Smile, She would Offer Advice on Good Locations to Visit in Sousse which was Helpful. The Waiters at the Royal Salem, Mariam OMARI, Enzee NOURIEE, & CHABI are all Such Hard Workers, So Polite, Always there to Make Your Food Times Pleasant & They Remember How You Like Your Coffee or Tea, What Soft Drinks You Like which is Really Good as So Many Guests are at the Hotel, it Shows the Family Values of the Hotel the Staff are People who Engage & that Makes it Real & Different to The Fake Locations of Dubai or the UAE. The Staff at the Salem the Chambermaids Work Non Stop, The Waiters Rihad the Supervisor, Hamdi, Fami, Omar the Restaurant Manager, The Young Kid Mohammed all Such Nice Welcoming & Kind Hard Working People it Makes Your Holiday Better with No Issues. Overall it was a Really Good Experience 11 Nights of Good Weather in May 2026 Average Temperature of 25 Most Days, Lots of Shopping Done, Met Some Fantastic German Guests who Became Friends (Fred, Norman, Stefan, Andreas, Big Boris, & There Partners Connie & Nicole). Met a Good Bunch of Fun Loving Ladies From Newcastle Showing the Local Tunisians the Gordie Charms, A Bunch of Warm Welcoming Lithuanian Women who were always Good to Have a Conversation with. The Hotel has that Vibe it Brings PEOPLE Together. I Hope the Hotel Values its Hard Workers & Offers them the Good Feedback they Deserve. Good 4 Star Tunisian Hotel."

"I've lost count of the number of times I have been to this hotel, 15 or 16 times at least and this visit was as always fantastic. Food- there is always a wide and varied choice meaning there is something for everbody, adults and children alike. BUT if you can't find what you want or need, just have a chat with the chef who will be pleased to cater for any special diet you may have. Rooms are always being updated, but always clean and comfortable. But again if you have a problem, talk to reception who will try and resolve the problem or move you to a different room. Obviously during high season they may struggle, but always worth asking. Do I have anything negative to say? It's not a negative as such, but I'm disappointed to see the beach "bar" is still not open, they serve soft drinks and coffee, but still no beer or wine. Yes you can take a hike and go get one yourself from one of the nearby bars, but staff are prohibited from bringing it to you......why? Positives....... has to be the staff .....all of them work so hard. Not forgetting the behind the scenes people we sometimes forget, like the cleaners and the amazing people that keen the gardens in such a lovely condition. But top of the list in my opinion is the animation team who are collectively brilliant, not only for the evening entertainment, but providing daytime activities like Boules, archery, aqua aerobics, table tennis, darts and more."
