Sol Azur Hotel Beach & Congress

"Three days in a raw each evening three different waiters forgot to bring the ordered beer. First day we just went out and took take away in the lobby bar, the second day we reminded after 20 mins and the waiter tried to lie that they don’t have alcohol and he don’t understand english (before he spoke with us in english) , when we asked in more agressive way we finally got it; the third day it was better as after the remider again we got the beer and at lest “sorry”. Does it seem like a coincidence? It was our wedding anniversary vacation, and the fact that didn’t receive congratulations is not a problem (I want to mention that as well), but it was still spoiled by the attitude of the stuff. Please, explain the waiters their responsibility. That’s the only reason of my total dissatisfaction. Some of them were quite good and brought orders, but this situation is stupid and spoilt everything. Animation is also quite bad, but not a real problem for me. The rest stuff is quite good (manger, reception, money exchange, cleaning). Rooms are old, but clean (at least a sea-view room). The maids take the towels in the morning but bring them back later. It’s not really convenient to be honest. Beach was clean. Sea water was cold in May. Food is typical, in 3-5 days you don’t want to eat that. Food is often overcooked. Also they cooked some days really good dishes like grilled tuna, grilled shrimps, mashed potatoes. Children touch food by their hands and then give up, be careful. Sun bed towels, tennis equipment requires cash bail what’s also stupid for me. If no issues with the attitude of waiters I would say it’s good. But taking that into account I cannot recommend this hotel. I will never back."

"The hotel isn’t as clean and pretty as it appears in the photos. It’s not the worst, but it’s not the best either. My biggest issue with the hotel was the majority of the hotel staff. They looked visibly frustrated most of the time, particularly when you ask them for anything. The spa receptionist called Chama seemed quite rude. She would make facial expressions or sigh heavily when you wanted to change the reservation or ask question about the spa. Chama was not charming (lol). Also, major shoutout to Waleed who was the beach bar’s bartender. He was smiley, always pleasant and making funny jokes. There were a couple of lovely cleaning ladies but I didn’t catch their names. For a full review, the beach was beautiful, the drinks were strong and there were tennis courts. The courts were easily accessible. Don’t bother trying to see the sunset or sunrise from the hotel because you can’t see the sun on the horizon. I hope this review helps!"

"Good location, close to the beach, couple shops outside for souveniers, pool accessories. No markets which is a let down. Place feels dated and is a little dirty despite seeing them clean throughout the day Entertainment is good, animation team are fantastic especially Nimo and Styfan who are friendly and enjoy interacting with guests Bar staff are friendly if you respect them. If you dont want a strong alcoholic drink, watch the measurements, they pour a lot. Food is standard for an all inclusive holiday, pancakes for breakfast, pizza, chips, and pasta lunch and dinner time."
