Spa time and sunshine in Hammamet
Sun-worshippers will love Hotel Le Sultan, a stylish, modern resort that’s all geared up for lazy days on the waterside. It’s positioned on the outskirts of Hammamet, so expect peace and quiet by the bucketload. Better still, there’s a private sandy beach right in front of the property, putting you within touching distance of the Mediterranean Sea.
The facilities list is lengthy here. A huge palm-fringed pool sits at the heart of the complex, neighboured by loungers and parasols and a mini version just for tots. Activities-wise, you’ve got archery, minigolf and watersports like scuba diving to have a go at, plus two golf greens are on-hand nearby for practicing your swing. The hotel lays on a shuttle bus to get you to and from. Little ones, meanwhile, are well looked after with games and crafts at the hotel-run kids’ club.
Three restaurants stop things getting samey at mealtimes. Le Serail offers international buffet spreads, Grill Le Pirate specialises in Mediterranean lunches, and Sakura serves up Asian dinners, A La Carte style. After-dinner drinks and a soothing soundtrack come courtesy of the Sherazade bar, or if evening entertainment is more your thing, Le Calife bar has just that. And there’s an additional Tunisian-style lounge on offer, as well.

Find out more about Hammamet
Holidays to Hammamet tick off all the North African hallmarks. This pretty whitewashed town is fronted by a stellar beach – 10 kilometres of soft, honey-coloured sand which unravels along the Cap-Bon peninsula. You’ve also got ancient sites aplenty, and a nightlife scene that ticks off atmospheric restaurants and shisha bars.
