"The hotel is old fashioned and in a state requiring a full refurbishment The food is of poor quality, choice, flavour and cold. The cleaning is a bare minimum leaving a lot of stains and mess behind. I’m half way through and would go home early if I could."

"Well located within the area know as Averroes, Hammanet and right next to the beach, the Hotel although slightly dated and in need of a deep clean, still offers a welcome to tourists of all ages. We arrived late due to travel problems and more than three hours late, however given a warm welcome, booked in offer something to eat then escorted to our room The room was spacious with the WC separate from the shower room. Shampoo/Shower Gel/Conditioner all provided and towels changed on a regular basis. As we were all inclusive, all meals provided and available in the Laurier Buffet restaurant (websites states gentlemen have to wear long trousers, this in not actually true), other restaurant the Olivier has to be booked (did not use). The food available is varied from European to Tunisian and is of a good standard, with their cakes to die for. There is also a Pool Bar with an area to sit within the pool and experience the bar, Sunbeds are readily available and plenty, so no sunbed wars here. Drinks are brought to you as you lounge in the sun however if you are feeling energetic then Aqua Aerobics, Darts, Boulles, Archery and Yoga sessions are available. There was also a day in which we were entertained by Synchronised Swimmers. The Staff are to be complimented in all areas for the enthusiasm, courtesy and professional manner and were always on hand to answer ant questions, provide drinks and assist with the setting up of our sunbeds and shade. All in all a good time was had and we would definitely recommend a stay at the Averroes."

"Just back after 3 visits and want to give honest review. Pros: rooms excellent, food good, reception staff really friendly, restaurant manager amazing and very accommodating as were pool bar staff and life guard working round pool, also photographer. Our housekeeper made our stay in room 3030 brilliant with the lovely things she did Cons: entertainment was poor. Apart from Loefy, the team were quite lazy and wanted to sit on our sun loungers a lot of the time. The guys just wanted us to get them whisky cola and Fatma wanted to get rid of the kids from the kids club so she could chill. Spent most of our time hiding in the pool to get away from them"
