"My Fiance and I spent 7 Nights at Aziza through Tui - The hotel itself was amazingly clean, and well laid out, a very nicely sized outdoor pool aswell as a smaller indoor pool, there is also the option of going down to beach, whilst not a private beach it is still brilliant. There is a great gym on site, which I made good use of!
99 percent of the staff in the hotel were friendly, helpful and always worked with a smile, regardless of the time of day. Big shout out to Ameur and Jamil inside of the main buffet style restaurant, it was my birthday during our stay and they didn't forget, despite both being on a day off, they showed up the next day got me a cake and had all the other guests at dinner singing happy birthday to me, truly amazing and made the holiday unforgettable.
The room was nice, and the overall look and cleanliness of the hotel is great, there are some areas that are looking a little tired, but nothing overly jarring. Entertainment was good both poolside in the day and the evening music with occasional events (bingo etc).
My review would be a 5 star, however - there are a few issues - the buffet food isn't amazing, the food offerings are not clearly labelled, and it's often hard to tell what you're putting on your plate, for the vegetarians and vegans among us this could prove difficult. I found the wait staff to often not full understand what food was being served either, which was slightly disappointing.
We found the bald man working on the poolside bar to be rather rude, and it seemed like asking for more than one drink was a chore for him, we met another couple during our stay and would often go up and get 4 drinks (one for each of us) and he would often make remarks about how many drinks were being ordered, we began ordering all together rather than separately ( 2 lots of 2 drinks ) at his rather rude request. It also seemed that local people would walk into the pool area from the beach and sit at the bar chatting with him, which seemed a little odd.
We didn't really venture out of the hotel other than to go to the local shop for souvenirs and gifts (there is a shop on site but it's offerings aren't plentiful) however, when leaving the hotel the security guard would always push us to go to a shop called 'Big Ben', I went there once and it was reminiscent of a Turkish market, with the shop keeper not allowing you to leave until you had bought something, My advice would be to go to the shop literally a 5 minute walk out of the hotel (turn right out of the front gate and then across the road) the owner here is brilliant and NOT pushy!
If you do decide to go and check this shop out, I would recommend going with someone, as the area around the hotel can be a little sketchy (not a reflection on Aziza at all!!)
We had some issues with the safe in the room on our first day and in turn our passports going missing as our safe was swapped without our knowledge due to being faulty, this caused an immediate panic for me and my partner, however the manager sorted this instantly and relieved ALOT of panic, so massive thank you to him (we stupidly didn't get his name), they arranged a free massage and pool session in the on site spa, which was good, and much appreciated.
Other than these issues I cannot recommend Aziza enough, it's relaxing and for what we paid (£700 pp) you cannot go wrong!! The staff (for the very most part) are brilliant and cannot do enough for you! It's clear that they are treated very well!
Thank you Aziza for a brilliant week in Tunisia, if we ever decide to visit Tunisia again I can safely say we will be returning to the hotel!"
