Four-star coastal escape
Nestled just a 10-minute stroll from the sandy shores of Djerba Beach on Tunisia’s golden coastline, the Cesar Thalasso Hotel’s impressive location and facilities cover 11 acres of holiday bliss.
If the palm grove and vibrant greenery won’t help you relax, a dip in the outdoor saltwater pool certainly will. There’s a poolside bar just a few steps away, too, if you’re craving a cocktail or ice-cold beverage. Ready to take your relaxation to the next level? Head to the Thalassotherapy and enjoy its multitude of soothing facilities, which includes steam rooms, 13 massage cabins, an indoor pool and special hydromassages.
If you prefer more active pursuits, a visit to the hotel’s sprawling sports complex will get you moving. Serve and volley on the four tennis courts, have a kickabout on the state-of-the-art soccer pitch with synthetic grass or enjoy a spot of volleyball or basketball on the multi-sports court. The hotel’s also right in front of the Djerba Golf Club and its three finely maintained nine-hole courses.
You may have built up an appetite after all that fun. Fortunately, the hotel’s buffet restaurant’s wide array of dishes will satisfy the largest appetites, while an à la carte restaurant, specialising in traditional Tunisian cuisine, is perfect if you’d rather swap self-service for table service. If you’re visiting during peak season, meanwhile, head to the Beach Club – it’s an idyllic spot for a cocktail and sweeping views of the Mediterranean Sea.
